Wandering Nomad,

I have to agree with you 100% and I'm confident that attendances are going to increase this season...........

All this waiting around is a joke, ive spoken to a few of our players this week and 2 out of the 3 i spoke to are leaving because they dont want to be at the club while it is the laughing stock of the wpl!!! come on lets shape up before its too late. We will be in exactly the same situation as the start of last season at this rate. Not too many players are going to be available as by now most players worth signing would have been snapped up by the more organised clubs. I know that we are losing Danny Ford to warrington town, Paul Pritchard, ben alson, sam mcnutt and Ged Courtney have all said they are not coming back, i can only gather that is because of the messing about behind the scenes, that is not including the other 2 i have spoken to, so straight away we are down 7 players from our first 16 from last season. Hope this new appointment knows a few players to get in???

The current procrastination and secrecy is just as bad as anything Bobby has had levelled at him. Tin Tin appears to have centred himself as spokesman for the move and if he emerges as the new chairman it won't be just a new set of players that are needed, it will be an entirely new fan base. Of course, this is all part of the wider plan, as expounded throughout last season. (although the promised hordes of new supporters never actually materialised)

No doubt many or most of the long standing supporters will keep the faith but as is the case in any takeover or merger, there will be some that will not return, for the time being at least. The immediate priority now must be to get a new coach in post and for him to arrange a meeting with the players asap, hopefully this weekend.

Blaen for once in your life please get on board and support the club. All you seem to do is moan moan and then There are reason for this kinda of secrecy for thet time being im just being to stubborn to wait. Tin Tin has already said something will be released in due time. And so what if tin tin was amde chairman would do a dam sit better job than you or that bobby hunter have done so far.

Wandering Nomad,

Thank you for that timely intervention..........you have saved me from posting something out-of-hand that I may well have regretted later on :-)

But I wouldn't want to be chairman, manager, media officer or anything other than a willing volunteer - if so asked, as will others like me, who will be at the touchline next season home and away as circumstances allow.

In pointing out that when Bobby was perceived as withholding information from this website, it was all clamour and indignation. Now that others have declared an interest, it is all rosy. So what we were originally complaining about was not that information was being kept secret, it was all about it being kept secret from one or two vociferous individuals. It makes me sick, and it's got sod all to do with being on or over board, or supporting the Nomads.

And don't forget what this thread is all about - "rocking the boat".

Come on the Quay, Onwards and Upwards, Stick Together (meaningless epiphets ad nauseam...)

Wandering Nomad,

We are so very close to an official statement and I can assure you that it will be very good news indeed.

There is a lot of rumours flying around and I'm just as anxious as everyone else to get back on track and return to normality.

As for some players leaving, there may be some that wish to follow Andy Lee to Warrington, but I'm sure that all of last seasons/current squad will be contacted in the very near future.

I fully understand how difficult it must be right now for the players, but all I can suggest and as you have already stated, please keep the faith !

Blaen, my patience is finally exhausted. Since this thread started, your posts have been a constant source of provocation, misinformation and innuendo, at times bordering on libel. At the same time you have used your own site and associated blog to constantly criticise this website and its message board posters, knowing that they have no right of reply.

In the absence of your posts, there is almost total unity between all other posters on this message board. I leave you to reflect on your belief that somehow you represent an imagined silent majority. If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got, and in this case it is isolation. You have been banned !

Just read the update on the front page this morning now i feel a little better know that something is going on beghind the scenes but how many little btis are left to sot out all everyone says is oh just a few minor things left. Does this mean bobby hunter will remain as chairman but under the 'control' of GAP. One last thing well done wivey finally someone has but blaen in his place and allowed this forum to discuss things with out a backlash from him.

Kepp up the good work wivey

Wandering Nomad, I can confirm that when the deal is finalised soon, we will be ready to hit the ground running and Bobby Hunter will be niether Secretary or Chairman, as GAP prefer to fill these posts from within their own ranks.

New Name

Why cannot the word "Nomads" be kept in the new name ? To be honest it's more about "Nomads" than Connah's Quay. Why not "Gap CQN" or even "Gap Nomads"
Wivey: You have always been a steady hand on the tiller but noticeably have started getting jittery. Bad move to ban Blaen. Surely this is an open forum and we should value freedom of speech and various opinions. As an avid follower of the site I don't see the justification for this ban.
God knows what the full recent history of this saga is but there is no doubt that Bobby Hunter has played a big personal part in keeping CQN in this league for 17 years. As owners GAP have the prerogative to choose their own but this guy has a wealth of experience.
