hcko slowly brought some of the lads through last year,
a chance may be all they need.
if you remember far back enough to when you played football if half of the people who write on here ever did...
a little chance can make someones career.

OK, sorry I was just teasing - it was a copy and paste from TinTin's post up the thread.

I was reflecting on the current situation with a mate last night and once you look at things dispassionately, it's obvious that Jim brought a lot of talent and investment into the club last season both on and off the field. Whatever anyone may think and whatever impression any past criticism may have made, I hold no personal feelings and consider him a very capable guy in football who has a successful career ahead of him, who knows, maybe at Nomads but probably at a higher level.

A win-win resolution would be a situation where he and Bobby could resolve any differences between them and work together in a revised 'framework' to take the club forward.

Given the influence and confidence that brought last season's backroom team together - and a significant number of new sponsors - I would back him (Jim Hackett) to be able to put together a wider sponsorship plan to buy out the club and implement a proper five-year business plan to take Nomads into Europe. (The stumbling block is just that anyone able and willing to invest at that level would probably choose to do it at Wrexham.)

Blaen,

What gives you the impression that Bobby Hunter is going to take the club forward?..............So far, I personally have seen nothing from Bobby Hunter that remotely indicates a 'move forward'.

Come on TT, read it properly - "a revised framework" I think such a revision of structure at the club is fundamental to any progress.( A new board with fresh investment in other words.)

I hope he is, and I hope that he brings the coaching team back together too. The whole 'sacking' business leaves a nasty aftertaste, but if things work out otherwise, good luck to whoever takes over.

It's just been announced on welsh-premier.com that Jim is in the frame for the Rhyl job to be announced on Monday. I have put the story under Managers Update on the front page.

Wandering Nomad,

I can report that Jim Hacket has not been successful with his application for the position of Manager at Rhyl........

An anouncement concerning the future of CQN was promised for today, but due to certain legalities surrounding paperwork, this may have run into wednesday (tommorrow).

What I can say is that there is a distinct likelihood of a very positive move forward for CQN........however, common courtesy and protocol dictates that an official declaration be made through the correct channels, of which I - nor anyone else @ CQN - have any control over.

It will be interesting to see if any "positive move forward" will meet with the approval of the silent majority of Nomads' regular and long standing supporters, a.k.a. the Flat Cap Brigade. Let us hope that it does, but the answer will be reflected in the attendances next season.

One way tot hink of it is any move taken would be a step forward given the current situation. Those long standing supproters as you so put it blaen should turn up and support the team no matter what.
