It is worth remembering that Dock Road is owned by Flintshire County Council and not DACS or Nomads. Considering Bobby's telephone number has been published in the local press this week in connection with the vacancies at the club, it shouldn't be too difficult to contact him.

One has to wonder whether or not Mr Hunter is aware that the porta-cabins and containers at Dock Road belong to John Gray (aka DACS).

Especially with him (Mr Hunter) putting the cat among the pidgeons with the kids (so to speak)...........ie; Football in the community both at Dock Road and the Match Day half-time goal competitions...........not forgetting the after schools club!

The fact is, during last season Jim Hacket worked long and hard behind the scenes, setting up the basis of an excellent system on the Kids/youth front, only to have it systematically dismantled by ???????........................yes, you guessed it, Mr Bobby Hunter !

A statement from Mr Hunter is now very much long overdue, it's starting to get embarrasing.

Does he think that by burying his head in the sand, the questions raised by everyone on here are simply going to go away?

The lack of statement from the club has been the main point of this 121- postings-long thread.
As nothing has materialised, not even a "be patient", its obvious that no-one from the club is reading them. It's not inconceivable that with only 3 officials, none of them bothers with the internet. Otherwise. any club would feel an obligation to send out at least a message of contact given the drama of the situation....wouldn't they?

Any Media Officer who doesn't read or use their own Club website, would normally get the sack and It really isn't possible that they don't know the level of unrest within the club, is it ? Things are far from normal in our club !

You are right..............this has indeed been a long thread, long enough (or so anyone in their right mind would think) to prompt the board into some kind of formal response.

Just to rub salt into the wound and to add to you stat's, this thread has now been running for 5 weeks..........it's not as if there's been much else under discussion during this period of time !

Come on Mr Hunter, we all feel it's time for you to get out from behind the cloak and bring us up to speed.............common courtesy dictates this much from you at the very least.

The welsh-premier.com website now has an exclusive report that the Gap Queens Park talks have come to nothing and includes the statement that Andy Lee is reported to have been offered the Manager position.

What is becoming ever clearer is that the Nomads' directors have no intention of using the club's website to keep supporters informed. I don't think it's a lack of awareness on their part of what the supporters are saying through this website - it is just a total disregard. I am now becoming seriously worried about our ability to be prepared for next season.

Well spotted, although contradictary to the report, I doubt John Gray actually played any part in negotiations or we would be moving along with further talks right now.

Did someone mention that it's not all doom and gloom at CQN FC and that the GAP was about to be filled?

This, I'm sure, was the trump card up Mr Hunter's sleeve, without which it looks to me that he has nowhere else to turn.

No postings on this topic for 5 days - has everyone given up? Now we learn that we've also lost Ken Price, so the future of the Academy is added to the long list of issues for the club to deal with. What's the saying? -"The wheels are coming off".

Well i have very good knowledge that the managers job has been offered to first team player Tommy baker and ex player Alan Glover. What the hell is going on there, i know a lot of the players, and have spoken to tommy on a few occasions last season in the bar and he seems to be a very quiet person, never the management type. And as for Alan Glover, well all i know is that he virtually got pushed out of the exit door, because he was nothing but a trouble causer in the changing rooms. I herd that he had arguments with most of the players and even ended up even having Chris Herbert pulled off him in a changing room brawl at half time during a game. Then Stewart White and Alan had to be pulled apart on the pitch just after half time in yet another game. So taking all this in to account who in the right mind would want to sign for the nomads. Im all for a player taking over but not one that has no experiance and one that is nothing but an ego on legs. Come on Bobby lets get this sorted out as quick as possible.

nomad4life - I reckon the wheels are already well and truly off. Under Booby Hunters leadership (I normally use spell checker - but will make an exception on this occasion) the Connah's Quay Nomads board of Directors have got rid off Jim Hackett and Andy Lea, 5 coaches and totally dismantled our excellent Academy set up in the process. Credible applicants for the Managers job will continue to turn it down just as Andy Lee did, because the budget on offer is hopelessly inadequate to recruit and maintain a team capable of staying in the WPL. They have failed to attract any sponsorship or investment into the club and they have alienated John Gray, other shareholders, many helpers in the club including myself and most of the supporters. Communication and information has been grossly inadequate and the rapidly downward spiral of this Club is there for all to see.

The failings of this Board of Directors are obvious. Diabolical decisions on football matters and inept activity on the commercial front resulting in financial failure to produce a credible budget. No one in their right mind would dream of investing time or money into this club, whilst Bobby Hunter and the current Board remain in control. It is time for them to resign en masse, thus allowing others who can re-unite the club and attract investment, to take over before it is too late. At the very least, Bobby Hunter should have the decency to acknowledge the serious predicament that this club is in and put the matter before the Clubs Shareholders to seek a vote of confidence in him and his Board.

Have been away for a few days and come back to the latest updates. So ken price doesn't want the job and now our chairman who got rid of the manager because he wasn't the man to take the club forward has offered the job to a joint management pair that have no experience in management, no doubt his view is that they will take the club forward. I havent got a a clue about there good and bad points but I wonder if Bobby Hunter has the clubs future at heart or thinks that because he's been at the nomads for so long that the supporters will just accept what he does.

I agree with you wivey and call on the board to call on the shareholders and explain exactly what is going on to them and see if they have got the backing of them. Either that or just resign as a group, they are embarrassing the club.

why would Tommy Baker be such a surprise choice as manager? Hes an absoloute Legend! Bob Paisley was a quiet person and down to earth guy... and I think he went on to be one of the greatest ever managers.... oh yes... after playing for the club!!
I think he would be a really serious candidate.
Ok so sometimes he might sit on the fence, but he doesnt have to be an invertabrate all of his life he may be able to grow a spine one day.
Plus travelling would not be an issue, because I am sure that once upon a time he may have mentioned something about having a caravan, and it was close to the ground...

nah all joking aside, you wont meet a nicer guy, and his football knowledge and understanding of the game is excellent.

It may appear that nothing has been happening over the past week, but behind the scenes, nothing could be further from the truth.

A official statement concerning the future of the club is expected later this week.

i really dont know why everyone is worrying
we still have the contracted players & a very strong reserve side who could plug the gap
an honest manager & a few new faces & nomads will be safe.

Have you been away for a while?.........what contracted players?........the reserves are exactly that - reserves !........bring back Hacko and we will have an honest manager.

I agree with one point, a few new faces would be a good idea, both on the pitch and off !

I dont think you realise the gap in class. Im not entirely sure but is it not something like 5 divisions down they play in?

They may plug the gap as you say but will not be safe, rather be subjected to humiliation and certain relagation. Not only is that not good for the club but also for the lads involved themselves - it could destroy one or two who might otherwise in the future perhaps have a chance of appearing for Nomads.

Give it up man, Jim Hackett is long gone and we simply have to move on or get left behind in the lower leagues.
