Herbert and Kilganon

just been looking at the posts. Icant believe someone said that west cheshire league not good. It has produced players for many years for your league 2 of which are with you HERBERT and KILGANON. I would much preffer to watch west cheshire football to the welsh prem, the football in the welsh prem is all long ball, if this league never had the sponsorship that it gets you would never have players coming there they only come for the money not the style of play, ask anyone. The 2 lads ive mentioned were top players untill they went to your league. Herbert has been one of the best players in west cheshire league football for many years and scored between 20 to 30 goals a season (maybe even more) ok maybe he is not as quick as he used to be but you dont turn in to a bad player over night, now i read that he is playing at the back, i have to blame it on the style of play because he is a footballer not long ball merchant. Kilganon for many people in the west cheshire league was the best player in there, he was strong on the ball and kept his team playing total football by not hitting long aimless balls. He is without doubt nomads best player in centre mid but the last time i watched he was on the wing, couldnt believe it. Maybe a bit of decent football will make these lads shine.

I didn't say the West Cheshire league isn't good, I simply provided evidence that it is at least 3 or 4 tiers below the Welsh Premier. Like all leagues, the best players can make the step up in leagues. Wes and Herbie are examples of those of players, but I am sure that they would be the first to admit that being outstanding in the Welsh Premier is a hell of a lot harder than it is in the West Cheshire because the standard is a lot higher.

Wivey you must be saying west cheshire is poor if you are saying that not one side in west cheshire would survive in wpl, that just proves you havent got a clue about football. I sugest that you get out and watch a west cheshire game then come back and i bet you wont have the same comments. It doesnt mean nothing to players this tier thing( i mean if the tiers aroud your local stuff), i mean look at cammel lairds and vauxhalls how easy they went through the divisions to get where they are now and that was with virtually the same squad they had in west cheshire that took both teams there. Obviously this tier thing is to do more with the set up of the clubs i.e grounds, which i would say welsh prem is a higher standard. Your league is only so high in the tier ranking because its classed as wales's national league, as is our premiership. As for hoe Christleton would do against tns remains to be seen, but i would put my house on them hammering connahs quay and christleton are only mid table in west cheshire. West kirby played bangor in a friendly at the start of the season and beat them 4.1, so friendly or not a side from a league that hasnt got a team to make any kind of impact in wpl to beat 1 of your tops sides should be enough proof of how wrong you really are. You give west cheshire football total disrespect.

Christleton hammering CQN?................hahahahahahahaha........just shows what YOU know about football!

West Cheshire football is below the WPL........end of.

Also, to think otherwise, purely based on a loss by Bangor in a friendly, christ.........we could be here all year throwing examples like that at each other.

Bangor (mainly reserve squad) lost to West kirby 2-0, during a 3 week period that involved 9 friendly fixtures.......

One friendly pre-season game that Bangor did put their full squad out against was L1 side Tranmere Rovers and Bangor won 4-1...........that was one match in three within the same week and Bangor won all three, so where does THAT place Chirstleton????????

Stats mean nothing................just like the west Cheshire League !

Either way tin tin, friendly or not they won against ateam that is suppossed to be 4 leagues higher, and just for the record it was never the reserves as les davis, paul smith and limbert played i cant remember the others but a lot more first team. And west kirby had trialists playing. I shouldnt be replying to people who havent played the game and have no knowledge what so ever on FOOTBALL. I notice a lot of people on this site say that about you, or is everyone wrong AGAIN. Have you ever watched a west cheshire game? dont comment untill you have. I would like to see your nomads against any side out of the west cheshire and see how our league actually does compare. From what i hear and read the last thing you want to do is shout out about your team, there are not good ask anyone who has seen you play, like me.

west cheshire boys, if you really think that tiers are irrelevent in football and don't reflect the standard that a team plays at and that Christleton could hammer Nomads and thrive in the WPL, nobody on here is ever going to take you seriously.

You will also notice that I have taken a strong line against people making personal provocative remarks toward others on this site, so after your last post directed at Tin Tin be, be very carefull what you say in future.

Oh by the way that was tranmere reserves the same team christleton played and won 2-1. So anything to show that your team is better than any west cheshire league team.

I didnt even mention christleton tou did. But even our average sides would beat you. ive proved what the tier rubbish is about. You need to know what the teams are actually like before you comment on them. I would not have dreamed to comment on your board if i hadnt seen how poor your team is. But you are saying that a west cheshire football is poor without seeing a game. I watch nomads quite often so i would say i do have insight in what im saying.

The West Cheshire league, like all other leagues, is irrelevent to this message board. Nomads are a Welsh Club with teams playing in the Welsh Premier League and the Clwyd League, if you wan't to continue talking about the West Cheshire League, do it somewhere else, or your post will be deleted.

West Cheshire Boys,

To Quote: "I would much preffer to watch west cheshire football to the welsh prem"

What the hell are you posting on here for then????

If your only interest is to slate the WPL and Nomads and telling us how poor we are, what sort of reaction did you really expect from us - a big diolch yn fawr? well thats a big DIM!

We have no interest in your west cheshire league, this is not what this forum is about. I suggest you go and post on a site that is more relevant to your cause and leave the Welsh League be.

Belle Vue Boy,

The fact that you are a Rhyl fan and come on here defending our team is a real inspiration, one I thank you for. However, your comment about Wes is a rediculous one and not one I would expect from such a seasoned and knowledgeable fan :-)

I dont need to go on about all Wes's positives, I would writing yet another novel, his actions speak louder than words.

Stick to the positive stuff eh, dont make me get my handbag out, its not pretty and the handles are almost falling off :oD

If you read the posts of your very own club web site quay purr you will notice that i come on here talking about herbie and kilganon, until someone wanted to go on about how poor the west cheshire league is suppossed to be, but because the truth hurts you so much this will be my last post. But i really hope you do stay up as i do follow your results with you being so local. Good luck herbie an kilganon and fans and players of connahs quay football club.

Well Mr Smithy,

Like him and many before him, he came from a league he was obviously too talented for and clearly desperate to get away from.

Now he's playing with the 'big boys', no longer shall his talent, drive and passion be stifled. As we saw on saturday, he now has his chance to 'shine'!

Perhaps you could remind me of which 'lower league' was his stepping stone up from? ;-)

Your right Smithy - the Welsh FA won't allow us to play in the league of a foreign country !

Herbie's first half chance, which the keeper tipped over is going up now at youtube - if I can get the video to 'stick' - if not, tomorrow a.m.
