Sorry Doone and chester quay, I have to disagree. To say there was no improvement at all, defies logic. You don't have to go to the game to know that a 0-1 away defeat is a vast improvement over a 0-5 home defeat and the fact that you say we could have won the game, is entirely down to the players who played on the day.
Gary Pinch would play with a broken leg for Nomads if Jim would let him, thats one of the reasons why he is Club Captain. Jim has key player nursing an injury and he was wise to rest him and make sure he is fit in the vital game against Caernarfon on Saturday. Jim knows what White, Herbie, Macca and Melia can do, they have played in our last 7 defeats when we have conceded 32 goals. He needed to see how the new players could perform in a game nobody thought was winable, without the wisdom of hindsite. The result was far better than expected and Jim has a much clearer picture of which players to play in the vital Caernarfon game. I haven't spoken to Jim since the Boxing Day game, but his strategy is pretty obvious to me and I think he's got it spot on.
Just a final word on the people who constantly say we should be signing proven seasoned Welsh Premier league campaigners. Find the money, find the player, then persuade them to move from their existing club to join Nomads in our current predicament. If you can find one and provide the money, I garantee you that Jim would happily sign him. I know the Welsh Premier as well as any of you, Get real !
