I'm not interested in smoothing anything over, you and Janet Street Porter can have the stupid yellow bibs and you can both happily steward the crowd in any way you please. I've had enough and will spend my Saturdays elsewhere now, until you pair of clowns are gone.

Hopefully the incident will be analysed by the Club as there must be contingency plans if it were to happen again and especially now that the issue has been raised on this site. I was at the back of the stand and my blood was boiling. It was totally unfair on the Nomads group whose vision, space and whole afternoon which they had paid for were spoilt. I did in fact ask if stewards were available as I felt there was a need to flag up that the rabble had crossed the line.
However it is now an issue for the club and the role of the steward must be clarified. Presumably there are League guidelines and Police advice. Perhaps we need signs to say that standing isn't allowed at the front of the Stand. Maybe it's not a job that many would want and I would like to add my thanks to all who have contributed voluntarily to the Club - without you we wouldn't be in the Premiership. Our hope in 2008 is to ensure survival so every good wish to Jim, his staff, players, officials and supporters. Let's pull together!

If you are not happy with the behaviour of the Rhyl fans why not get you chairman to raise the issue with their chairman?

It must be a source of huge disappointment for the better off individuals bankrolling the £5K per week wagebill to see the kind of dregs that follow them around.

There are steel signs already posted in front of the seats, affixed to the handrail and they were brought to the attention of the Rhyl mob at the time by our Chairman, to which they reacted by banging on them.

The yobs that were kicking off had no intention of playing within the rules and were there with the sole intent on a forcing a confrontation.

It is indeed a sad situation for a CQN supporter to be subjected to abuse by a minority of away fans in their own stadium without the back up of officials, to which their self appointed spokesman has willingly admitted...........but to then suffer the indignity from the very same so-called official is an utter disgrace and is just rubbing salt in an old wound that is both personal and vindictive........one that I thought had been put to bed.

Your continued name calling and idle threats are as low as any individual can get...............yet this is how you choose to react when a paying supporter brings up a valid point concerning the role of stewards, one that could have ended in serious injury.

But because this subject indirectly affects you, it is therefore a taboo subject and failure to obey your rules results in your resignation (one that you have threatened before) followed up by a finger pointing in my direction.

Why you insist on trying to turn victim into accused is beyond all logic.............I would like to sit down and have someone explain to me what the hell is going on here!

TT, I have resigned my position as steward at CQFC, I am led to believe there has been at least one other resignation, so if yourself or anybody else could help the club on matchdays I'm sure that would be appreciated.

I would like to thank everybody connected with the club during my time, I have thouroughlly enjoyed my time, both on the terraces and behind the scenes on matchdays.

I do believe that one day the penny will drop at the club and these two trouble makers will be ousted. For me that day can't come soon enough.

I am just stating my opinion just like TT & OP.

It just seems to me that this season has a very unfriendly atmosphere due to a certain group of people which seems to be ashame as its driving people away from the club.

Lea 1, All opinions are welcome on here. I don't censor peoples opinions, only personally abusive remarks, false acussations or deliberate wind ups. like you TT has also had a post deleted in the past. Nobody likes it, but don't let it stop you posting.

The club would be a much happier place if everybody showed more respect for others, so why not start a new trend instead of singling people out.

Thanks for the heads up but I really don't know why you think that I have to be informed of your personal decisions...................may I suggest that you direct that one to Harry, the board or maybe even the Chairman himself?

As for the penny dropping/trouble making comment...........if you're going to continue making unfounded, rediculous statements and accusations, you should at least have the common courtesy to back them up with an explanation as to why.

I'm not going to hold my breath for a constructive reponse.

Tin Tin and Deesider Returns, it's time to bring an end to your unsavoury personal feud on this message board and as you both seem incapable of a conclusion, I will delete any further posts that attempt to prolong this sad dispute.

It's a shame that a few louts from another club can ignite such anger and resentment between our own supporters. I suspect it would not have happened had we been winning most of our games. It certainly does nothing to encourage new supporters and only damages the image of Connah's Quay Nomads.

i think the stewards are horrible at the matches to the boys that go we asked them polietly if they needed any ball boys and they said go away its a shame connahs quay have those people its a disgrace

George, you are entitled to your opinion, but it is a shame that you have re-opened this thread. As you can see, enough damage has been already done to relationships between Nomads supporters and it reflects badly on the Club.

Stewards are unpaid volunteers and because of the Welsh Premier League regulations, matches could not go ahead without them. It is a requirement of the league that we provide Stewards for all home games. If supporters want to help the club in any capacity, including Stewarding or ball boys, it would be best to write to the Club Secretary to offer your help, rather than criticise the one's that are already giving up their free time to do it. Please write to the club if you have a complaint, instead of criticising each other on here.
