True Nomads Supporters

To all the supporters who read this board,i feel i must put this message on here,i've watched this board for a few months now,reading the different posts about my son,some good some bad,it's hard to stay off when he gets critisised,but i've bit my tongue,i feel that in the time he has been at nomads he has developed into the player i always knew he was capable of being,there is no bigger critic of his play than me,i really thought that this season at nomads would be the season that he finally showed he was a wpl player,but as he says,his financial posistion means he has to stop,i have had 2 or 3 long discussions with him about this,but there is no way he can carry on,anybody who has seen me at the games will know how much i enjoy watching him and nomads, even going to last weeks rout at camarthen,there is no other reason for his decision than a financial one and if anybody would like to discuss it with me i will be at the match on saturday,and if you don't know what i look like,a short scotsman who looks like brad pitt.

Tin Tin, I have to agree that since you started supporting Nomads and posting on here, for reasons beyond my understanding you and Quay Purr have had to endure more than your fair share of personal abuse. It has occurred during a period of time when the level of abuse towards players, the club and between posters has reached a totally unacceptable level and I am determined to stamp it out - or the message board will be closed.

Up until now, you have not been slow to reply to abusive posts in kind. From now onward, please trust me that all personally abusive posts will be deleted and abusers will be warned and banned. I ask you not to respond to abusive posts in kind before I get chance to take action, or your posts will suffer the same fate.

I know that you, like many others who post on this message board, share my passion for Nomads and want the best for our future. Lets all show it by enduring the difficult times with some dignity, stop blaming and criticising others for our plight and getting behind the team and Management as best we can.

stewart i thought over the 6-7 games that i watched you play you were a quality player and i had the time to speak to your farther aswell who is a very nice man

you played extremely wel in all the games i watched and thought you would become a good player for nomads you are very talented and have a lot of skill to use on the pitch

i have no problem with you leaving but i hope to see you playing in a nomads shirt on a later date maybe next year?

i cannot say i have seen jamie play so i do not know how good he is or if i have seen you play i am sorry for my mistake

all in all i find these two players leaving now a huge loss for the nomads who have had a few injurie problems in the last few weeks

As a Colwyn Bay fan I note Nomads are going through a dificult period at present. I think Mr Hackett is a good manager and you should stick with him and the dificult times you are having now will make any success you have in the future all the more sweet. Good luck

Thanks for your kind note of encouragement.

I agree with you 100%, JH is an excellent manager, not forgetting his assistants & management team (all of them!).

We are all looking forward to the teams progression knowing full well that the management built this team virtually from scratch.

They have a lot to be proud of and even though there is still a long way to go, positive encouragement is always gratefully received.

Im response to the Stewart White incident. I cant believe that TinTin's simple question has transpired into such a fiasco.

TinTin has always been behind players 100% and has never had a bad word to say about any of them. Yes he is sore that Stewart is leaving, we all are - not in a nasty way but its yet another blow for the Nomads. Stewart would have been more worried if no one responded at all Im sure, showing that his departure is indeed a real sorrow.

Its the way a simple question can get twisted round into something sordid that concerns me. TinTin meant no malice or suspicion by his question, it was just that, a simple question - not an interrogation for gods sake.

The concern is that the fans on here are intent on insults, nitpicking and twisting things round to make people look bad.

If even the fans cannot stand together shoulder to shoulder like they should, you have to ask what impact this is having on the future of the club.

The constant prejudiced remarks and insults between fans is both disturbing and sad.

Im so pleased that we have both got to know Stewarts dad via a post-match pint becoming a regular thing as if not, the above posts could have been misconstrued entirely.

I would ask that all fans should take a look at what is best for the club.

Shouldnt we be grateful for any fan to turn up and support the team?

Whoever pays their money to come and see the Nomads is surely a worthy fan, regardless of where they are from or how long they have been attending.

To Stewart and Jamie, we are indeed sorry to see you both go and wish you well. We would always welcome you back should your circumstances change.

And to Stewarts dad, its great news that you will be staying to support the Nomads! See you next match.

On "TinTins simple question" and "why it transpired into such a fiasco."

The question was posted in the context of some hostility, "rats leaving the sinking ship ... shows a lack of character ... unable to take the rough with the smooth ... better off without them." amongst the comments made in the preceeding post by the questioner.

"Are you saying that you have no connection with Jamie outside the club and your joint descisions to leave are totaly unrelated?" asks TinTin.

Such a question looks more suspicious since you have also come on posting the fact that you are somehow privvy to priviledged info regarding new signings, in which case, it begins to look like a taunt or challenge for one of the players to reveal some hitherto secret motive for his or their leaving, or something else you may be in the know about. It looks a bit graceless and sinister and most likely unneccessarily so. (What good to the club (or anyone) was being served by asking it on this noticeboard?)

It just looks like people showing off and it is probably at the root of all that you consider to be people 'nitpicking' or trying to make anyone (e.g. you and TinTin) look bad.

For goodness sake, get a grip. This is exactly the kind of nitpicking I have been talking about.

For the last time, it was a simple question, end of. Stop stirring your cauldron and go and find something better to do.

And as for suggesting we may be privvy to info regarding new signings - we are privvy to just one - and thats because it was TinTin that scouted him!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothing sinister or showing off involved - just showing a bit of common courtesy in allowing the management to let everyone know when the deal was well and truely done.

The only reason for my mentioning it was to show any would be temporarily demoralised fans there is yet another light at the end of the tunnel.

Your post Blaen has been the straw that has broke the camels back to be honest. I am no longer going to post on this board. You are all convinced we are 'out to do no good' and Im fed up to the back teeth with it. No matter what we say or do, its always something sinister and Im fed up with explaining myself.

There is little wonder there are only a handful of fans. I dread to think how many people have come and gone due to being pushed away.

Big changes are afoot with this club and you will be sorry that you have pushed the ones away that were willing and more than able to help make a difference.

I will of course continue to support the Nomads 100% in all other ways I can, including attending as many home and away matches. We are proud to sponsor Wes Kilgannon and subject to his approval, will continue to do so next season, along with new signing Paul Wilcockson.

It didn't take you long to come back with that. Leave it a bit later and you can have the last word, but history won't have been re-written. You asked why people reacted in a certain way and I suggested some reasons why. The best course for you is probably to take a break from posting the first thing that comes to mind. In suggesting that I have pushed anyone away, for that is how your latest post reads. A few more performances and results like Saturday's and the crowds will improve, if that is what this is really about.

Success on the field generates success all over the club. The rest is all bullshit.

Wivey - with respect, the bit you edited out was not intended as a personal remark, it addressed the absurdity of the idea that I have pushed anyone out of the club - in some contrast to the open hostility expressed in the past to suporters less willing to jump in step with the latest gimmick, wheeze or bandwagon. In fact the earlier posting wasn't personal either, just a response to a rhetorical question that was posed as a cover-up for some ungenerous muck-raking at the very beginning of the thread.

TinTin - if that is where you were coming from with your aspersions against Petrie and White, then it's probably as close to an apology as anyone is going to get, and about time too.

I neither need or intend to get drawn into the muck slinging that's been going on between TT, QP and others. I engaged with one or other of them last week on another topic and that too took a sarcastic turn. Any disagreement meets withering abuse played by turns with martyrdom. Not a pretty sight.

I cant believe you lot are still going on about all this crap. The lads have left so lets just drop this post. The players got what could end up being the most important result of the season, and you going on about 2 lads who have left. Lets leave it now and swap this negative stuff for positives for the boys that are still here playing there hearts out for nomads.
