saturdays match

nomads go into this game with a terrible run of games behind them, but such is the unpredictability of this league,it is possible that they can get something from this game, llangefni's result against bangor last week, when they conceded 2 goals in the last minute showed that games are not foregone conclusions according to the league table,i still think we are capable of putting a run together as certain players are starting to adjust to this level and consistency will surely follow, last weeks performance must give us heart.C'mon nomads.

I don't expect us to win or even get a draw, but if the lads play with the same commitment and hold out for a bit longer than they did last Saturday, anything is possible. Carmarthen Manager Derryn Brace certainly isn't under-estimating us, this is what he said to the press yesterday.

"Nomads can beat most of the teams in this league and they are a dangerous side," he told the Carmarthen Journal.
"They started well but then found results hard to come by.
"We know all about them having beaten them in the FAW Premier Cup and we will need to produce a similar workmanlike performance like we did last Saturday."

It would be a great place to get a point or three and I might be able to get over there this weekend, to cheer the lads on.

i think most of the teams in this league feel the same way about nomads,we are capable of beating any team in this league, but it just depends on which nomads team turns up on the day,i feel if we just get a bit of luck to give us a win, the confidence that would generate could see us go on a good run, here's hoping.

Can't get to the game but I might make it to the bookie's. We will win well on Saturday, I believe (something in my bones is telling me) that we have turned the corner. Apart from that, we matches and even outplayed Carmarthen for long stretches of the match in the Premier Cup and by accounts their results and performaces are on the wane.

Like I said about Llanelli last week, Carmarthen is not an easy place to go and get a result at the best of times. We won there last season, but had to play out of our skins to achieve that. However, I do echoe the sentiments of others, on our day we can beat anyone in this league. So, again, good luck boys!

I still dont know whether we can make it on Saturday - weve so much going on at the moment its hard to find time to even sit down, never mind organise an away trip.

I agree with all the above comments and most games we have been so unluckly not to have won or at least drawn, be it from hitting the bar, or just sending it wide or the awful refereeing. Our luck has to change sometime and once it does, I think we will be on a roll from then on.

Lets hope that the boys can really pull off a strong game and come out winners, theres no reason why they shouldnt.

I will be pleased when were back at home - its seems ages since the last home game, the drum is starting to get cobwebs on it.

And Blaen, if youre wrong, were giving your bones to the dog %-)

Any guesses on the team for tomorrow?

I'm a bit stuck - I heard Baker did well as a right back last week so I expect him to stay there. Is Pinchy back? or cook, Atherton or herbert in the reckoning?

I'll go

Pritchard
Baker Alston Caddy/ Pinch Glover

White Tigger Wes Morgan

McAllister Herbert

Subs

Caddy (if Pinch fit!) Melia Atherton

Probably totally wrong but hey its a guess!!

Simon, this is from the Flintshire Chronical story that is in the match preview story.

Quote "Hackett is likely to stick with the XI that started against Llanelli, who he says are determined to prove the doubters wrong."

If doubting is what it takes to get them winning, I doubt if Quaypurr's dog is going to chew my bones!

Yes iread the report in the paper. I cant believe that we got beat 4.0 last week and that makes jim keep the same side as last week for the first time this season, i think that tells you a lot about how poor we are at the moment. When you get beat 4.0 then thats a sign that the team we had out was not good enough. I really do hope i get proved wrong tommorrow, if we get beat we will be stuck in a bit of a dog fight. COME ON NOMADS prove me wrong.

Raider, I can understand your logic, but Llanelli have beaten 2 other teams by 4 clear goals and 4 others by 3 clear goals this season. We hit the woodwork twice had one cleared off the line and conceded all 4 goals in the last 11 minutes. Our best players are out with injury and players have to be fit to train to play, so Jims options are pretty limited.

I wouldn't be suprised if it's postponed in any case, This is the weather forcast in Carmarthen from 10am until ko.

Heavy Rain / Wind from the West Southwest at 25 mph

Just seen it on Sky Sports now, Wivey. Without getting histerical about things, this is becoming very worrying now.

My guess is, that we are playing into the face of the 25 mph wind. I agree - worrying, a struggling squad and this will do confidence no good at all

Maybe you're right about the wind. I remember a match at the DS about four years ago, we played Caersws and we had a big wind behind us in the first half, Tommy banged three in to put us 3-0 up at half-time. Second half though, Sws had the wind and scored 5 to win the game 5-3.
Can't see a comeback for us today though!

Come on lads, let's just avoid a record 9-0 defeat.
