Unlucky Nomads

Thought the Nomads were unlucky tonight.....I really despise Rhyl and their band of in bred, scouse overspill, eleven fingered fans.

The sending off from where I was looked a bad challenge but I'm told that from the Stand side it looked harsh. I spoke to Caddy afterwards and he did seem a bit embarrassed by it so that speaks volumes I reckon.

Nomads were more than in the game in the first half and were unlucky to go in at half time a goal down from the penalty spot. I didn't see exactly what the penalty was awarded for so I can't really comment.

Thankfully, the lads came out for the second half and for long patches, they were the better team. The penalty, looked suspicious to me but the linesman on the far side who awarded it told me that the Rhyl player stopped the ball from going over the line with his hand. Shouldn't that have been a sending off offence then?

In fairness, Rhyl came back into the game and were full value for their winning goal but Jim's young team are slowly starting to show some signs of real promise. I know that he is keen to build this club up from the bottom upwards and make Connah's Quay Nomads a force to be reckoned with in the future and on tonight's showing, progress is clearly being made.

I did an interview with Jim after the game tonight and I'll publish it here just as soon as I've typed it up.

I thought we played very well last night, caddy, alson, baker, macca and herbie all impressing. Thought we deserved something out of the game. They wont want to take us so lightly at christmas/new year now.

BVB,

So the miss-tackle was reason enough for your entire squad to launch upon our players?..........you're a disgrace.

Also, your away fans felt it appropriate to use base, foul language and shout insults directed at women and children.................Typical plastic scousers.

A bit ironic that BVB after watching Hunty on television the other week trying to kick the goalkeepers head off when you played Welshpool. That might have finished his life never mind his season!!!!!

ooooooh ! (said with female tone :oP)

Well, I thought the Nomads played some pretty decent stuff last night and were very unlucky to lose.

As for the penalty, to me it was clearly ball to hand but sometimes the decisions made by the officials are very poor. I could have put it down to the fact that he had a poor view but the rest of his decisions were just as bad.

'The tackle' I thought was 50/50, I felt I had a clear view and it didnt look that bad to me. It was the Rhyl players rediculous rolling around and the other players reaction that prompted the referee to do what he thought everyone else around him expected. If he has no balls and gives in to bullying, he shouldnt do the job. He was rubbish last time he was here too.

The Nomads Barmy Army made their presence felt once again and we had a really good time. Shame the Rhyl fans resorted to using girls and children to shout out profanities all the time, other than that I enjoyed the banter, the chanting and particularly the game, I thought the players showed some good form.

Looking forward to Saturday - with drum in tow :-D

Tin Tin, your link was class! Well done for digging that one out.

Its a shame really though, to discredit their club in such a manner. I wonder if they even realise the harm they've done to their club? You can be passionate in constructive ways :-| Instead their club has now been fined.

Can we start to talk about the game instead of the crowd, it got very boring reading the posts on the crowd all week. Lets talk football instead of singing in the stands. No dig at the chants by the way, just like to reead about match a bit more.

I remember the last Rhyl home game at Deeside where a dozen or so "fans" were such ...holes that I felt I had to move to sit well out of their way , to avoid getting involved. Rhyl have a great tradition, great playing record and hundreds of supporters, a few of whom I Know and are smashing people. Unfortunately this isn't enough for a handful of mavericks who are dragging down the good name of the club.

CN,

I'm happy to bore you with talk of the crowds, however if you want to talk about the game then go right ahead...............I have not seen anyone trying to stop you!

BVB
The incident against Welshpool was re-played several times on tv and it did'nt get any better each time. Hunty should have walked,no doubt about it. He has a reputation of liking to go in "hard" (to be nice) on goalkeepers, you Rhyl fans should be the last to moan wen he gets a bit of his owm medicine back.

anna44, don't get sucked in. BVB is famous around Welsh Prem forums for his one eyed wind ups! He should stick to what he's best at. Selling programmes!

it was a good game with some good tackles, Caddys was deffinate red card we cant argue that. We are saying we were unlucky, but we are not creating enough chances for macca and herbie in my eyes, so untill we do we will always be saying "we were unlucky AGAIN"

Calm down BVB. Looks like you fell for the bait there pal. I actually quite like your posts regarding the games etc, but I've never once seen you say that one of your players or anybody else associated with your club has done anything wrong, hence the one eyed wind up comment! And a big well done for selling programmes, shame I won't be there to buy one off you!
