True Nomads Supporters

When all of the lads came down there was three people singing with us including quarry-purr and tin tin they are going out of there free time to make flags provide drums and to get people to come to the game

i was shocked when people were looking at us like it was meant to be a round of golf we need all the crowd to have sprit and get behind the boys next game against rhyl lets get behind them and get a win

Old debate this one. How about moving on it's getting boring now.

If you and your pals want to sing, shout, clap and wave flags, that's great and it's brilliant that your giving up your free time to support the club whilst thousands of other Deeside residents can't be arsed. But I don't want to sing, chant whatever, I just want to watch the game with my mates, and by the sound of it so do some other people. Each to their own.

Getting Boring Now ???????????? Then why do you feel the need to even reply. We all know YOU dont want to sing and chant, the post wasn't directed solely at YOU - there are others on this site you know! If you want to sit with the flat cap brigade and be quiet then fine! no one has a problem with that - but if these lads, me and Tin Tin or anyone else want to rally round troops for noisy support, then who the hell are you to go pissing on everyone elses parade???????????

The only thing around here getting boring is the drone of your whining. This club needs support of any kind, be it quiet, noisy or in between. If this club is to continue, Bums on seats are vital. If noisy support encourages more fans, then thats the way it goes.

We have done an immense amount of work in our own time which we are quite happy to do and why? because we are do'ers, not just people who sit around expecting everything to happen for no reason because that doesnt work!!!

These young lads are just what we need in my opinion so get off their backs. If they want to post on here asking for support then let them. I for one are right behind them.

Deesider returns, You have made it clear everybody by now, that you don't wish to shout clap and cheer at games and that you would rather sit quietly, and that's fine. But I do feel that it's a shame that you try to discourage other posters who are trying to whip up a bit of noisy enthusiasm and are asking people to join them. I will probably get to the Rhyl and Bangor games next week and as I always urge Nomads on loudly when I can get there, I will almost certainly join them. (and I have long since given up being self-conscious about being stared at Nomads games, as if I am some sort of 60 yr old freak) Would you truly prefer to go and watch games where nobody makes any noise ? - surely a football match is not the place to go for a bit of peace and quiet ?

if we were a continental team we would be paying the likes of george and nathan for the contribution they make at games,but like deesider says we all like to watch the game in different ways,so lets not alienate the support that we have and move on from this thread,because it's been done to death.

Give it a rest (please) TT, slagging off other fans isn't going to make your 'Barmy army' any louder.

The problem is the support we have is not enough. The hard facts are that its not working, if you want this club to survive then something has to be done. We are getting people in to the stadium - how many extra people have you brought along these past few weeks??????? In my earlier post, I clearly pointed out that I didnt have a problem with quiet supporters, so how am I alienating anyone? It wasnt so long back Blaen you were encouraging people to bring drums, trumpets whatever - are you now changing your tune?

Let me clarify that I or Tin Tin have never alienated anyone! This stadium is big enough for everyone, noisy or quiet and no one has ever said 'be noisy or close the door on the way out!' It seems that the ones actually being alienated are us by you because youre the ones doing all the complaining. So, I suggest that unless anyone has anything constructive to say, you leave us to do our thing and you do yours. If anyone wants to discuss it further, you know where we sit.

I am not changing my tune. My comments have been consistent, there;s no need to blame the peole who come along for the ones who don't.

Sorry QP, TT, Wivey and the young lads George and Nathen, but I don't think I said anything to deserve those responces. I just can't understand why you all feel the need to preach/demand that people make noice. It's each to their own as far as I'm concerned and I would never dream of demanding that you all remain silent on my behalf.

As for the flat cap brigade comments, some of you would do well to remember that this is what this club was founded on. I won't mention names and do people diservice, but there were some very good men who served this club very well, for many, many years, and they liked nothing more than a grumble and a discussion about the finer points of the game. They didn't feel the need to do Mexican waves and neither do I. No problems whatsoever with other people doing it though, just please don't try to force it on me.

QP, how can you say or ask what we people have done for the club, either in recent weeks or recent years, you know nothing of the struggles that we've faced as a club and supporters.
As I've said before you and TT are to be comended for your hard work and drive, but please to say what have we done??? is insulting to the hard work that many of us have put in not only in recent years, but this season aswell. Many people work very hard for this club in many ways, they just don't feel the need to tell everybody.

quay purr,you obviously do have a problem with quiet supporters,most of your posts are about people not making enough noise or about how much work you and tin tin do,are you not getting enough recognition,is that the problem?,lets hope the barmy army takes off and becomes a regular feature and you get the acolades for it,but each to their own,i for one do like to shout at matches, maybe not sing,cos lee marvin would turn in his grave,were all nomads supporters,each different in their own way,united under one flag.

You also need to make your mind up......................two weeks ago you were calling for more noise from the stands?.................what exactly are you trying to acheive here?

Blaen, I find your comments confusing too. What does this mean and how does it relate to the comments opening the thread, that was trying to 'drum up' more noisy support:-

If people want to sit quietly, thats not a problem, but for the same people to try and drown out the others who want to Drum up enthusiasm, on this message board seems rediculous. What has it got to do with missing supporters ? Can quiet people and noisy people not co-exist at the same football match ? I realy am getting confused and feeling like making a lot of noise

George and Nathan, you must be laughing your head off at this lot - make sure all you mates read it too, and don't be put off making lots of noise.

The Manager has publicly thanked the supporters for their vocal support, on this website more than once, and has said how much it was appreciated by him and his players. This is a fact. Players prefer audible vocal support and that is not a criticism of anyone, just a plain fact.

There's not alot I can say about your last post, TT. I've given my opinion, whether it be right or wrong and I stand by what I've said, and I also think I've tried to be respectful, but imo your just being insulting and childish now.

Wivey, I suggest you read my posts on this matter. I've never discouraged singing etc, what I have said is why do we have to be force fed it. Why do the barmy army have to insult people for not joining in, if they want to drum up support that's fine, but don't demand that we FLAT CAPPERS join in. I'm starting to feel like I'm talking another language here.
