Blaen, can you clarify the scorer of Nomads goal in this game. Reports online are contradictory, with one crediting McAllister and the other Killganon.

Regarding the Aberystwyth match report..... not so much "unlucky" but careless. Maybe we couldn't get the winning goal we deserved but at least we should have made sure of the draw...once more wide open at the back. We deserved better and therefore very disappointing.
CQN have third-worst goals conceded record in league and those early points could turn out to be precious, as the manager said.

macallister was the scorer,same problem for nomads in this match,we could'nt handle anything in the air,their no 9 caused a lot of problems up front and the big no4 coming in late for any crosses into the box won almost every header,we need to be more ruthless at defending,if we're not going to win the header at least try and stop them from getting to it,we have to learn not to hit the front men with high balls as it's just coming straight back,when we play it on the ground we look a far better team,thought white had another good game,he's turning into the player he's threatened to be for a while,fast ,good eye for a pass and rarely gives it away and loads of commitment,wes once again showing his class,felt sorry for the keeper as i think last weeks performance has affected his confidence as he showed a lot of hesitancy in some of his decisions,still one of the better keepers in the league though,we need to get back to winning ways before losing turns into a bad habit.final note,to all the young lads who were in the stands singing and cheering for nomads from start to finish,well done they were funny and kept everybody amused with some of their comments,it would be good to see them at every game.

We have to remember that there some important players recovering from injury.

When fit, Bungle will cancel out the aerial ball and very soon we'll see Pinchy back with avengance to balance out the team.

There is a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment with regards to increasing the volume from the stand that includes those young lads.

They are just the advance guard and have promised me to return in greater numbers for future home games.

A Bass drum is also currently being sourced and will be presented to them by my Company Cleene Ltd..............this is just the beginning, watch this space!

Hi I am one of the other young lads who was cheering for the nomads I am thanking you for all the great hospitality, and thanks to Owain G and Tin Tin for mentioning us and we will attendend every game we can and can somebody bring in some instruments to make our crowd even louder.

we are in a bit of trouble now, we just dont score enough goals, and ther cant be any complaints about not getting the chances. thought taking wes off on saturday was a bit strange as it was for petrie he come off for. Herbert should start as both strikers doing nothing right, he must wonder what is going on when chances get missed like that. The crowd had a moan when wes come off and they were all made up when they seen herbert coming on that tells you everything.

I do not know Herbert personally, and I cannot judge him as a player as I have not seen enough of him. I will say though, apart from the chance McAllister missed (and it was not good!) he had his best game yet. Scored again and held ball up really well. I dont buy into the White theory, he still needs to convince me - to me he is the one who should score more goals. If Herbert should have been on sooner, in my opinion it should have been for White. We do need a couple more strikers to bolster that position though.

I see your point CN about Wes, but I also think he cannot play consistently for 90 minutes - great player, but really does need to be fitter. Until he is, he is always going to come off. Sometimes he fades out of games purely down to fitness. I see the point of bringing Petrie on to take the game to them and thought he did ok.

i dont think we are in trouble, more niaive. We do need to tighten up, but I think we have scored in every game? and we have created a lot of chances which we are then gettting punished for. there was some good football on Saturday, especially in the second half. The players looked crushed at the final whistle, my hope is that doesnt affect them and they can go on to 3 points next Saturday to lift us back up the table. Losing can become a habit.

yes totally agree with your comments, from what ive seen of herbert in the past he is a proven goalscorer and for me even with the lack of pace he has he has a goalscorers brain. i was speaking to someone who claimed to be his friend at the game on saturday and they reckon that for the past 5 or 6 seasons he has scored over 30 goals a season in the west cheshire league which is a very good league, i could not tell you how true that is myself, but im from chester and i used to read alot of right ups on him scvoring goals for christleton. when ive watched him he has scored his fair share too. I dont want too go on about him too much but i think we need to get him in to score goals. P.s i dont know the lad ive only seen him play and herd lots of him before anyone gets on my case for being his bitch.

i think for white to score more goals for us we need to play him in a lot quicker,i said at the beginning of the season,we need to play the ball beyond the back four for him to run on to,once he's away they won't catch him,but we're still learning in this league and i honestly think the players are starting to bed in,tigger in midfield has been a big success and playing with wes can only help him,someone said on another post about us being nieve,i think thats true to an extent when it comes to defending,it's all about belief,i still think someone will get a good hiding off us in a match,sooner rather than later hopefully.

i hope so aswell but cant see it. for me white is not a forward i think he would do more damage on the wing for us with his pace.

Yes CN you could be right, but he has played there before and taken out of it. There are only 2 reasons I see for this - Dicko is injured and we have moved White, or White is not seen as a wide player full stop. Interesting.....

Yes that woul be my team too think forwards need to have a good change around. i was talking to one of the druids lads the other day and they were saying how poor we looked in attack. They liked wes but no one else stood out. He said we were worst team they will play all season after that performance last friday. We were not good enough on saturday that is the hard truth, ok we created chances but if we dont convert them we are always going to struggle. For me white seemed to be very lazy not closing players down maybe he thinks he is too good for us, no way is that the case from what we seen last few games in the crowd, maybe wing is wher he belongs. Definate change needed up front.

Some interesting selection suggestions there, it's a nice game to play for the likes of us who don't have to carry the can if they don't work out!

Just to throw things up in the air, I wonder how we might figure in a different formation, say for example: Pritchard; Pinch, Williams and Glover; Baker, Jones, Kilgannon, Dickenson and White; Macallister and Melia.

Now there are several players that I like who aren't in that eleven but when injuries, suspensions and work comittments are thrown into the mixer there are a lot of different combinations that may appear, especially towards the end of the season!

Thanks for turning up lads, Saturday was a scream! We loved every minute of it. At last, an army of passionate singers and shouters spurring on the team. It was a lot of fun and besides which, the management and players we spoke to after the game thought it was outstanding.

p.s. I thought the mexican wave was spot on :-D

Tin Tin, always true to his word, has been trawling through his sources to get a bass drum sorted. This will undoubtedly make a huge impression, I cant wait. Have you decided yet which one of you is going to play it :-D

I'm pleased to see our flag made an impact, there were lots of people taking photos and stuff, again, all to increase our profile. By the way, the flag isnt quite finished yet but will be for the next home game. We are also bringing along two other smaller (but no less poignant) flags which we will be proudly taking to all the away games.
