Best of luck to the Nomads tonight, I am reasonably confident of a win tonight and jealous of all you guys and gals who can get to support the lads.
I will be doing my usual updates of the scores on here, as the game progresses, so tune in here if like me, you can't get to the match.

I feel so disappointed that we didn't win. Please tell me that we played well and deserved to, or that we were unlucky, or robbed by bad refereeing, or...... anything!!!!!!

Newtown deserved their draw. Even though CQN hit woodwork twice in closing stages (and in first 5 mins). Kilgannon contributed midfield control and CQN finished stronger, hitting w/wk twice but allowed 10 men back into game.
Big disappointment was lack of any PA tonight, no team sheet, goalscorer or sub announcements, half-time draw, music etc Lot of comment about lack of atmosphere on this site lately but it was like a doctor's waiting room at the start and very unwelcoming for casual visitors.

I thought Herbie was injured. Has he took the easy way out of a rubbish game, because he didnt look injured in his warm up. Could have done with someone like him tonight i thought there were chances going begging. Kilgannon didnt change enough when he come on thought he should have started after the way he played tuesday. Crowd didnt like what they seen who can blame them............................

Yes very very poor too many average players e.g petrie, white, glover, caddy and jones seen enough to know we need better. I herd that Herbie didnt look like he had a injury in warm up too. i agree kilgannon never done well when he come on, but maybe thought himself deserved to start?? If Herbie is injured how long before he is back and whats his injury?? Macca done well with no service would still like to see our 2 big men upfront there better than the rest of them!!!!!!!!!!! jj

What the hell was that???????? get some players who want to play for god sake, the 2 full backs caddy and glover think they are too good by the way they just strut round that pitch, they are what i call average joes with no quality, get rid jim before it rubs off on anyone else. Herbie was left out maybe jim herd he is a loose cannon.

Very disapointing performance tonight....did you hear some of the supporters booing the players off the pitch?

None of the players stood out as the best performers, although Bungle played well and the keeper did make a couple good saves but his mistake cost us the goal, but you can't blame him for losing the 2 points because it was a poor performance by all!

petrie, glover and caddy had a poor game, sort something out Jim mate.

rest your bodies and work your heads ready for next Saturday lads. chins up.

I'm feeling really frustrated. I spend hours every day, updating and maintaining this Website and message board but I can rarely get to home matches, because I live in Somerset. I got to all the South Wales away games last season and will hopefully get to Haverfordwest next weekend (it's only 3 hrs each way from here!)

When I get to games, I stand by the tunnel and loudly encourage our players when they come out. I do the same when they come in at half time and go out again and the same at the end of the game. I am passionate, noisy and encouraging throughout the game, usually surrounded by the other teams supporters. So why am I frustrated. Because I asked for some feedback on the game to help me do a write up for the site.

All I have read so far is a series of negative criticism of players, nothing constructive or printable. So far we are unbeaten and won two and drawn two, so it really cant be all bad, somebody must have played well, if so who? We need fans, more fans and passionate noisy fans, but if you want players to play better, you get behind them, not on their backs. For Gods sake, this team has been being put together from nothing in the space of 10 weeks and the transfer window closes on Monday until Christmas. The Squad we've got is all we've got, and the sort of stuff that the players are reading on here, isn't going to help them get any better.

I was also disappointed that we didn't win, but if half of whats been said on here is remotely true, the teams we have played so far must all be total rubbish. If we're going to criticise, lets make it constructive. RANT OVER!!!

Well the only positive to come out of last nights game was we never got beat. only Bungle, pritchard and baker came out of it with any credit. We are struggling to score goals big time and they had the chances last night. The strikers just dont get any service, which for me says we need someone who can create more from the middle e.g kilgannon plus we need some speed on wings to hit the big men upfront. I am sure that if we get this sorted we can make a decent challenge. We have still got off to a decent start though. jj

I'm going to go against poular opinion and say I thought we did ok last night.
Wivey, McCallister hit the bar after five minutes and the ball fell to Petrie, who had an open goal, six yards out, but for some reason he chose to volley it across the face of goal, when it would have possibly been better to have guided it in with his head. If that early chance had gone in, I think it would have settled the team and the game down a bit.
A few minutes after that chance, Lloyd-Williams was through one and one with the keeper, but Pritch made a world class save to turn the ball on to the post.
The game was a little dissapointing after that spell with both sides cancelling each other out.
Nomads took the lead after a good spell of pressure, when Baker's 25 yard shot took a deflection and wrong footed the Newtown keeper.
Newtown found themselves down to 10 men, It looked to be a straight red from the ref, when the challenge didn't look like a booking!
As can happen this decision seemed to work in Newtown's favour and for the rest of the game they took it to Nomad's, although their equalizer was very dissapointing, coming after Nomad's weren't swithched on for a freekick(looking at each other rather than facing the ball), and there was also a slight mistake by Pritch from the cross.
Chances fell at both ends thereafter, Nomad's hitting the upright twice and Pritch making another fantastic save.
All in all the draw was a fare result in a dissapointing game, but there were plenty of positves to be had. Player wise, the back four and keeper did well again. With Williams and Pritch probably the best Nomad's players on the night. Midfield played better tonight, Jones and Baker worked very hard and for the first time this season they looked a threat going forward. Killgannon came on and spread the ball about well.
My only criticism was despite creating a few chances, I don't think we had enough presence in the final third of the field.

Just read jims report i can understand him backing players but some just are not good enough, and its obvious to see and im not the only spectator that is saying this, its just that im the one who voices it. We still have time before the transfer window closes to get a few better players in we need 2 quick wingers afast goalscoring forward to play upfront with Herbie or Macca and a new right back. There are enough players around that would jump at the chance of coming to Nomads. jj

I think your expectations are too high, JJ.
In the last two games we've played two competant Welsh Premier teams, and although we haven't played brilliant in those games, we have however matched them.
We should also remember, we are still unbeaten in the league after four games. If I had been offered all of this after the Trafford game I would have happily excepted it.
There's still room for improvement, but there's also a lot to be positive about.

Will johnny j get off the players back, i know the performance was poor last night we have all had our say. We know who should be in and who should be out, but the boss is more than capable of picking these lads to how he wants them to play. He has had very little time to see what he has got he is still just getting it together and we have got 8 points more than anyone thought we would have after pre season. Atleast we are mentioning lads on the bench to come in which obviously means the squad is not so bad if we know we can bring lads like Kilgannon and Herbert and Atherton in to the side off the bench. Lets see what happens with side that plays on saturday thik there will be a few changes myself....

Well if we get rid of the players that are not good enough then we should have funds available!!!! is that not how it works??

You hit the nail on the head..............CQN needs more, noisy, passionate fans. I could possibly help with this problem but I'm already asking myself "is it worth all the hassle?"...........I can clearly see why there are no returning fans in great numbers.

I felt like an outsider and everyone else must have thought I had the plague because they completely cleared the North side of the stand by the second half - away from me!

I see little point in showing any passion when fellow supporters refuse to join in..................how embarrased do you think I was?

Player's will respond to the crowd in a positive manner when encouraged to do so.......get with the programme!

As D/Returns pointed out, I think that the team did well but switched off when 1-0 up and with the luxury of an extra player...........also, I agree that there was not enough presence in the final third of the field..........not too bad considering the make-shift squad under new managment!

Some have said that Nev Powell is a good chap and that he served CQN well - yeah whatever!.......as far as I'm concerned, after 14 years he took off with some of CQN's best players....................draw a line in the sand!

Wivey, it might be an idea to arrange coverage from an appointed regular? I don't want to teach my grandmother how to suck eggs here but surely the club will offer a pass to whoever takes up the role?

Finally, I absolutely agree with clapping the team on and off the pitch.........I waited to do just that at the end of yesterdays game but was disappointed when they stayed on the pitch for a de-brief and cool-down.

From a new supporters perspective, I have been left wondering why the 12th man is not encouraged to play more of a role with this club. It has also been mentioned that there has been many marketing strategies over the years to encourage fans to attend........yet I have lived in CQ my entire life and do not remember anything at all.
