I believe the Nomads are still holding out on any deal but Chris is keen to go to Bangor with Nev.They are close friends as well as player / manager relationship. At the end of the day I think it is pointless to hold onto a player who doesn't want to play for the club and is so keen to get away.

anna44, Chris signed a 2 yr contract with Nomads under Nev, because he thought Chris was the most valuable playing asset that the Club had. So that if the club were to lose Chris to a higher level of football, at least the Nomads would be properly recompensed. That still remains the case.

Nev/Bangor City should either pay the small asking price (which is way below his market value in my opinion!!!) or discontinue their interest and stop destabilising the lad. Chris can then concentrate on playing his way into professional football with Nomads this season, as he surely will do, if he plays to his full potential.

I would be surprised if Bangor could afford even the derisory fee quoted. They have a massive squad now and a new ground to pay for as well as repairs to Farrar Road. They will need immediate success to break even and if they don't command healthy attendances at a level significantly above last season's average of 442, I cannot see how they can move forward into a position to afford players of Bungle's quality, never mind challenge for honours.

Can't the Quay put a clause which would result in a percentage of any future fee if he moves to a higher level - otherwise it could be a real give-away.

if he decides to go and join the rest of the ex nomads at bangor ,they'll have to make sure they get off to a good start or else it won't be long before the bangor faithful turn on them and we know how voiciferous they can be,sometimes the grass is'nt always greener.

Bungle is expected to start on Saturday. The best interests of both club and player, and everyone else conected with Nomads is served by remaining collectively focussed on the season ahead. Squad details have been finalised and are detailed elsewhere on this site and at aryblaen.com and at welsh-premier.com - so in answer BVB, yes.

He is staying for the forseeable future. Thanks for your good wishes, they will be appreciated by Chris and others at Nomads.

Blaen, be carefull quoting welsh-premier.com. Exactly the same words from Chris were quoted in the story of 27th July and they have a habit of creating new stories out of old news. Things have moved on since then and it's obvious that this so called latest story is down to Nev and welsh-premier.com, and are not Chris's responsibity.

Chris, seemed happy enough when he was high fiving the fans behind the goal after his penalty winner on Saturday!!!
Chris, is a top player and a top bloke. I think it's now going to be a case of him getting his head down, putting in some quality performances and trying to get himself a move to a higher level. A level which most of us are convinced, he is capable of playing in.

I agree wholeheartedly. I saw him at training last night and he appeared very comfortable in his surroundings and with his team mates. The high fiving was a feature of the game on Saturday, Chris led the celebrations with Macca after the first goal too! His form is still improving and the specialised coaching he is receiving from John Roberts will improve his fitness, agility and technique.

I've heard that allegation about w-p.com before and it seems a shame, but unsettling two of TNS's rivals with one piece of 'spin' seems a good return... ;0)

I thought Bungle looked happy enough at Llangefni on Saturday and I think he will learn more from the new management team than he would if he moved to Bangor. What I don't understand is why the Nomads don't put a complaint in against Neville if he really is trying to "tap up" Bungle. Let's hope we hear no more on this topic and that Bungle just gets his head down and continues to give us more performances like he did at Llangefni. As I've said previously I'm getting fed up hearing about Bangor and Neville and I was glad to note on Saturday that our supporters are really getting behind Jim and the players.

For somesome one like yourself to totally disrespect Neville and Connahs Quay is well out of order. Neville for fourteen years did nothing put commit himself to Connahs Quay. The fact that all our best players have followed him to Bangor is not only a credit to Neville but to Connahs Quay.Myself as a Connahs Quay fan should ask how did we let Neville go in the first place while still under contract. I cant help but think your nothing but a "flash in the pan" when it comes to supporting the nomads. as for myself who as watched Connahs Quay before Neville took over and who will be there hopefully in years to come, will always have a warm welcome for Neville. will you be there in years to come? I doubt it. By the way i heard Neville played Hutchinson in midfield last night against Rhyl and left Frank Lampard on the bench, then again Hutchinson is a good friend.

Yours, get real or get out of CQFC.........

For Blaen, whoever you are, I think you're over-reactiing to blaens comments. Many of us expressed our appreciation for what Nev did at CQN in the past, when he left. Since leaving, Nev has done us no favours whatsoever and I fail to see that players following him to Bangor is in any way a credit to C Q Nomads.

Transfer negotiations should not be conducted through the media and Nev's latest comments (if quoted accurately) only serve to destabilise both the player concerned and the Club. It obviously destabilises the fans as well, if your attack on a fellow supporter is anything to go by

Blaen, I don't mean to be rude but your posts seem to be getting more angry by the day. Relax and take it easy man.
With regards to your comments about Nomads4life, to suggets to a fellow fan to stop going is just plain ridiculous, we need more fans not less!!!

I think there may be some confusion regarding my identity, others appear to be using similar log in names. If I have over-reacted and that has caused any offence, then I apologise.

I posted what I thought about the player and the story on wp.com, there is a lot of sentimentality concerning Nev, which is understandable but we need to move on. At the time of his move I was amongst the many Nomads fans who sent him messages wishing him well, as is still online here and at Bangor's website. I even texted him with a goodwill message.

But he has gone now, and top one of our biggest rivals. The ongoing media 'campaign' is unfair and reflects poorly on all parties. If an allegation of 'tapping up' is such a terrible thing - and I don't know what else you call it - people shoudn't do it, and if there is some suggestion of it in the media, the people concerned can always go on record to address it.

As regards my being a 'flash in the pan', and other comments in one of the posts above, I never realised it was a contest as to who is the most loyal supporter. Perhaps I should run a poll on the other website. I hope my only having watched Nomads since I moved back to Deeside after 25 years living 200 miles away and abroad doesn't prevent me from considering myself a fan. I will be going on Saturday, and to every match I can afford to attend when I am able to travel and either take the kids or arrange a sitter for the forseeable future.

In the meantime I will continue to do as much as I can to help the club's progress, by whatever means seem most effective and appropriate, and I have always advocated that football fans should support their local club.

It would appear from what is said in that post that you know me, and if so you should know that I am approachable and reasonable. The aspersion that I am somehow insincere in supporting Nomads is unfair and unkind, and your 'get out' remark is rather sinister. I am happy and willing to discuss any and all of the above in a rational and friendly manner either here, by e-mail or if approached at the match - and don't worry, I will be at plenty more of them, win or lose. ;-)

Wivey is there anychance of clearing up this Blean situation? There seems to be about 10 different Blean user names and I'm having difficulty keeping up with who's who and what there opinions are!!!

Deesider returns, blaen is Peter Wright as above and he runs the other Nomads website. He is the 2nd highest poster on this board. I believe that he previously posted as harry blaen (10th highest poster) and may well have had to change his log in name after log in problems, just as you did. He also posted as blaenski on one occasion, when responding to an eastern European poster in their own language!

Initially I was just as confused as you were, when someone posted above as "for blaen" , before I realised that it was in fact an anonymous post directed at blaen, thus I edited my post accordingly. Maybe with hind sight, I should have deleted it, because whoever wrote it did not use a proper log in name and created unpleasant confusion. I don't think that blaen should change his user name, because of the abuse of others. I sympathise with you confusion!!!

For yourself and other so called Nomads fans to suggest that Neville would play certain players on favour and not on merit beggers belief. If you would like to look back on the last 14 years, did Neville play, players on favour when we won the league cup? Did Neville play, players on favour when we just lost out in the welsh cup final? Did Neville play, players all last season for us to finish 5th in the league? What Neville done for us in the 14 years he was manager was nothing short of miricle, and to suggest he played players on favour in his last 3 games just shows how much you know about football. And just like any good sniper, you said it after he had left the club. I for one wish Neville and the players he's taken with all the best, and i hope their on a good few quid more than we could unfortunatley pay them. Because they deserve it. If makes me sound like a big Neville Powell fan then so be it. But for the last 14 years he has made my Saturday afternoon and lots of Saturday nights in the halfway great.
