I think there may be some confusion regarding my identity, others appear to be using similar log in names. If I have over-reacted and that has caused any offence, then I apologise.
I posted what I thought about the player and the story on wp.com, there is a lot of sentimentality concerning Nev, which is understandable but we need to move on. At the time of his move I was amongst the many Nomads fans who sent him messages wishing him well, as is still online here and at Bangor's website. I even texted him with a goodwill message.
But he has gone now, and top one of our biggest rivals. The ongoing media 'campaign' is unfair and reflects poorly on all parties. If an allegation of 'tapping up' is such a terrible thing - and I don't know what else you call it - people shoudn't do it, and if there is some suggestion of it in the media, the people concerned can always go on record to address it.
As regards my being a 'flash in the pan', and other comments in one of the posts above, I never realised it was a contest as to who is the most loyal supporter. Perhaps I should run a poll on the other website. I hope my only having watched Nomads since I moved back to Deeside after 25 years living 200 miles away and abroad doesn't prevent me from considering myself a fan. I will be going on Saturday, and to every match I can afford to attend when I am able to travel and either take the kids or arrange a sitter for the forseeable future.
In the meantime I will continue to do as much as I can to help the club's progress, by whatever means seem most effective and appropriate, and I have always advocated that football fans should support their local club.
It would appear from what is said in that post that you know me, and if so you should know that I am approachable and reasonable. The aspersion that I am somehow insincere in supporting Nomads is unfair and unkind, and your 'get out' remark is rather sinister. I am happy and willing to discuss any and all of the above in a rational and friendly manner either here, by e-mail or if approached at the match - and don't worry, I will be at plenty more of them, win or lose. ;-)
