i think you have missed a keeper and potentialy the best one you have.having had trials with everton, man city and tranmeme.he was the chester city under 16 keeper.played a number of times for north east wales.the only one who has not missed a training session this season.this lad has won numerous trophies with all the clubs played for including nomads youth teams.by the way his name is SAM JONES.

The above are the latest signings, budda. Sam is signed up with the reserves and as far as I know, played in the friendly against Johnstown. There is no way that Sam will be overlooked and like all the Reserve Team squad, his progress will be closely monitored. Have you looked at the Reserve Team section on the front page ?

Craigyboy - Glad to know hes doing so well and that his talent is appreciated. As I have said on this and other sites, he played more games for us than any other player last season and was great. I was afraid he would be wasted on your bench - but for once Hulse has got it right. Horon, Murtah, now Garside. No wonder you and BVB spend so much time scouring our site and talent!!!

You could become our feeder club if you want. You can groom good young players until their good enough to come to Rhyl and we'll send you our older players who are past their best plus the ones who aren't good enough.

Oh but then again that's what happens already;-)

Craigyboy, we've heard it all before!

Well done Rhyl and Craig Garside last night. You have done The Welsh Premier League and the ever increasing Nomads Old Boys Squad, proud!!!
Best of Luck in the away leg.

Garside was voted Player Of The Season on the fan site and I'm pleased he did well in an excellent result for Rhyl and the WPL last night, let's see if he and Rhyl can sustain their good form.

He didn't have a great game last night, but he was up against good quality players in only his 2nd game. Made a great run and finished well for his goal though.

I'm sure he'll fit in well and with the quality and experience of Jimmy Kelly alongside him he'll improve as the season kicks on

It seems a bit strange that they turned up for Bangor's game with
Mynydd Isa on Tuesday and didn't turn up on Thursday for our
friendly against the same team.
Then on Saturday turn up for training surely this is having some
effect on the squad as its plainly obvious that they really don't want
to play for the Nomads.
Because if they did they would of committed to the team before now
with the season just upon us.
Maybe I'm wrong but i cannot see how this helps the squad of players
that have signed seeing people turn up when ever they feel like it.

I also agree with Westender but Gary and Chris are top quality players. I just hope these lads make their minds up and decide their futures one way or the other.
I've said it in another thread, but i just find it a shame that some players seem to be choosing the short term fix and have jumped ship rather than giving the current management a chance and being part of what they and the club are trying to build for the future.

Hutchinson played for Bangor against Mynydd Isa. Bit bemused regarding Chris Williams, he seemed pretty certain he wanted to join Bangor a few weeks back and was hopeful that something could be sorted with Connah's Quay regarding his contract situation.

I guess Chris's situation is quite simple really. He had developed so well as a player by early last season, that Nev got the Chairman to put him on a 2 yr contract along with Adam Dickinson, knowing that if a bigger Club came in for him, Nomads would get a decent tranfer fee. Now we're waitng for the sort of offer that Nev had in mind last season. Ironic isn't it !!

Anyway we all wan't Chris to stay and there's no point in having contracts, if you're going to give your best players away to rival clubs. I am sure that Nomads would not stand in Chris's way if a Pro club came in for him offering reasonable remuneration, and he is no doubt capable of doing that if he puts his mind to it.

Totally agree Wivey. In my opinion, Chris is the best centre back in the league by a country mile, but there's no point keeping a player aginst his will, so I'm afraid the ball is in Bangors court now and it's down to them to make an honest, realistic bid.

But should Chris spend another season at Connah's Quay it can only work in the best interests of all parties. His is well known by Jim Hackett and the coaching he will receive is goingto be as good as, if not better than anywhere else in the WPL. If he is able to continue his progress and add to his game, as he will be ablt to under Jim and Andy and alongside Gary Pinch, his next move won't be to Bangor but to somewhere like Sunderland.

Fair comment BVB, I've watched the three of them play for a number of years now and they are all quality players.
There's no doubt Horan could play at a higher level, the only worry I ever had about George was that he seemed to need an experienced player next to him, to talk him through the game.
I've known Carl since our youth days and on paper he is probably one of the best players in the whole league but he's not getting any younger and he has had a number of injuries.
As for Bungle, there's something about him, he always seems to make the last ditch tackles, imo he's the stongest player in the air in the league and he's very good on the ball. With the right coaching, there's no doubt in my mind Chris has what it takes to make it in the football league, that's not bias, because in reality he's probably never going to play for the Nomads again.
