Miller Makes Pro Debut
Dene Miller Scotland A cap Dene Miller made his professional debut for London Skolars in the Northern rail Cup yesterday. The Hertfordshire-based centre started against holders Leigh Centurions at New River Stadium only to split his head after five minutes.
He returned to the field in the closing stages but could not get on the score sheet at Leigh ran out comfortable 52-8 winners.

Miller signed for Skolars this winter from St Albans Centurions and made his debut against Super League side Harlequins RL last Saturday in a friendly, during which he injured both his neck and knee and had to come off for most of the game!

Miller, who was capped by Scotland A and ful lside in 2006, hopes to play at Celtic Crusaders this Sunday before facing Scotland boss Steve McCormack and his Widnes side home and away.

Miller's former St Albans and Scotland team-mate Nick Surtees made his Hemel Stags debut on Sunday but could not prevent them from being well beaten at home by Bramley Buffaloes, also in the Northern Rail Cup group section.
