The under 15s collected thier 2nd piece of silverware last night when they beat Ticknall in the league play of final. This to join the Leonard Cheshire Homes 6 a side trophy which they won on sunday.

The six a side team, that included Richard Green, Joe Eaton, Miicheal Davis, David Stock, Paul Dawson and captain Richard Louch, beat of competion from teams from,Thorton st Peters, Ashby Hastings, Hinckley, Burbage Grace Dieu Park and beating Bromleys in the final. A superb effort with Joe Eaton scoring 50n.o. in just 5 overs. The final, chasinga total of just 37, was passed in style with Richard Green and MAN of the day Joe Eaton passing in just 3 overs.

On a damp evening at Ticknall, Ticknall won the toss and supprisingly elected to bat. Ticknall started steadyly with Paul Borrington being the main threat. The introduction of Micheal Davies turned out to be the turnig point, accounting for Borrington 35 on his way to a 4-9 haul. with Bret Byrd 2-16, Sam Eaton 2-19 and Robbie Beddard 1-2 restricting the home side to just 87.

The Parks reply was steady with the loss of David Stock early on, but this only bought Richard Green to the crease and along with Paul Dawson 29, saw the Parks youngsters home in just 12 overs. Green finishing with a stylish 45 n.o.

A great and well deserved win capping of a great league season. The A's now play Ticknall on Monday 28th july in the cup semi final, with the winners going on to play the Bs in the final on Tuesday 28th to be played in the Park.
