Lullington Girls Tournament Win
7 girls from Lullington took part in the Derbyshire final of the ECB organised Lady Taverner's U15 competition for girls. This was played at Derby CC on Sunday 15th June 03. There were four teams competing, Lullington, Denby, Nutbrook and Derby. Lullington played Denby in the 1st game who turned out to be the only team that teasted us. The girls then went on to beat Nutbrook and Denby with ease and some class bowling and batting!
The games were played to kwik cricket rules but with a hard ball. So well done to Beth Harris, Nikki Dawson, Nikki Hibberd, Amanda Kirkland, Rachel Leech, Gemma Rowe and Charlotte Rowe on a fantastic proformance. Having won this tournamnet, a team of 8 girls from Lullington will now represent Derbyshire at the Regional final in Leeds, Yorkshire on Sunday 6th July 2003. We'll let you know how they get on!vv
