U15's A v Alrewas
Thursday 26th saw the A side travel to previously unbeaten Alrewas. Missing 6 regular players due to county call up and sickness, the As won the toss and elected to bat. Paul Dawson, 38, lead from the front. Along with Dave Stock,45, rattled the score along and when Stock fell it only brought David Archer to the crease and in his first game of the season powered his way to
45 n.o. and when joined by the ever improving Robbie Beddard took the total to a formidable 167.
The Alrewas reply got of to a slow start with Mickael Davies 1-17 restricting the opposition. Agalliant effort from Ollie Broadway 52 retired
entertained the large crowd but when he retired theresult was never in
doubt. A excellent win, with a show of depth for the club with the call up of under 11s Joe Cain and Tom Caron showing the talent of youngsters within the club.
U15's B v Hammerwich
The Bs entertained Hammerwich in the Park in what turned out to be a thriller. Ben Furner 48 and Jason Bennett 28 got the Parks youngsters of to a
flying start and with Luke Carthy, 26 they reached a respectable 129.
Hammerwich got of to a good solid starrt with M. Freeman 36 leading the way. The introduction of James Allen 1-34 and Ben Young 1-17 took vital
wickets to halt the Hammerwich chase. the intoduction of Ben Furner 2-2 at a critcal stage turned the tie in the Parks favour and dipite the efforts of R. Instone 24 n.o. it fell to Elaine Beddard to ball the last over with 9 runs required and once again she held her nerve restricting them to just 7 runs.
Another excellent performance from the Parks youngsters showing the potental within the club.
