The A team entertained Litchfield on a sunny evening in the park. Litchfield
won the toss and elected to bat. Making steady progress they reached a total
of 86 with Alex Thompson 2-12 being the pick of lullingtons bowling.
The park side lost the early wicket of David Stock for 1, but this only
bought Richard Green 31 n.o to joined Paul Dawson 40, who saw the home side
home, with youngster Robbie Beddard 7 n.o., hitting the winning runs.
The B side travelled to Whittington were they were asked to bat, some good,
tight bowling, especially by T. Stone 4-7, kept the park side down to 80,
with only young Ben Young 24 reaching double figures.
Whittington reply hinged round Hacket 26 n.o. accompanied by Hardman 18 saw
the home side home with 3 balls to spare, Luke Carthy 4-8, capping of a good
week.
The coming week is a busy week for the 15s entertaining Rolls Royce on
Monday in the National cup and both sides being drawn at home on Tuesday in
the 2nd round of the burton cup, entertaining Dunstall and Tutbury
respectively. On Thursday night the A side travel to Barton, while the Bs
entertain Abbotts Bromley in the league.
So a busy week ahead, so get to the Park and support the boys
