The 2nds had a double weekend at Little Eaton, at last winning a league game on Saturday and a cup game on Sunday.
On Saturday after being inserted Lullington scored 253 for 7 with Rich Jones top scoring with 74, Danny Green 34, Richard Green 36 and John Goodwin 28 at last putting a batting performance together as a team. In reply Little Eaton were shot out for 136 with only Jeffery scoring 55. With everyone taking wickets the best being Dawson 3 for 23, Liam 2 for 29 and part-timer Hetherington 2 for 24.
On Sunday in the Cup, Little Eaton batted first scoring 167 for 6 with Wilton scoring 75 and Jeffery again scoring 26. Colin Shaw was pick of the bowlers 3 for 26 with a wicket a piece for Rob Goodwin and Rich Jones.
In reply Lullington knocked off the required runs for the loss of only 3 wickets with Danny Green not out on 58 and Rich Jones again in the runs with 37. Special mention to 13 year old Ben Young who came in at late notice and looked very accomplished in scoring 6 not out.
At last a successful weekend for the 2nds.
