The firsts are now 3 wins out of the first 4 league games and currently lie in 2nd position. Having restricted West Hallam (last years champions) to 176 they knocked them off in 38 overs losing 3 wickets. Jonny Shales, Dave Hartley, Dave Adams and Andy Goodwin all with runs. Danny Gough got 4 wickets, with George Chapman 3 and Jonny Shales chipping in with the others.

Sunday saw the start of the Brewery Cup campaign which for the past few years has been ruined by the weather and our commitments to the league cup. Alrewas won the toss and we scored 198 all out having been 114-4 at lunch. Alrewas were soon in trouble at 58-5 and were eventually all out for 168, more details when I get them.

Seconds lost having had Rolls Royce 24 - 4 defending 173. After posting a reasonable total they could not push home there advantage and lost by 3 wickets.

Thirds were bowled out very cheaply by Duffield 2's, after there 260 last week they could not produce the same performance chasing 218 were bowled out for 76.

Fourths scored 220 and bowled Dunstall out for 200, John Clement batted through again for 80. Dunstall were 180-2 chasing the total when Ted Shaw produced a stunning catch and then proceeded to take 5 wickets as Dunstall crumbled to 203 all out. A very good 27 points.
