For the first time this year Goodwin won the toss and asked Etwall to bat on a low slow wicket.
Bodie & Colin bowled accurately with little luck, until Dawson came on and straight away broke through removing both openers and the nunber 4 finally finishing with a tally of 4 for the second day running.Adam Johnson picked up 2 wickets with the returning Shaw taking 2 one a real steepling catch that 14 year old Rich Green made look very easy and 1 by Lovett who flew!! across the outfield to hold another.
In reply Danny Green started out scoring freely, with Ben Bridgen anchoring the other end, when Green was out the scoring rate lost its impertous, and then worse still wickets started to fall until the 2 Goodwins turned the scoring round, until the old man left Rob high and dry, the decision to play for a draw, and again Dawson playing like a man born to this level, to end the game just the worse side of a draw
Amusing Moment
Colin out LBW shot down (he said)By umpire Allsop.
Not for Danny!! diving only to come up with a dislocated finger, however help was on hand with the batsman telling Dan he worked at the Hospital, and soon rectifying the problem to then assure Danny he was a porter!!
