The Richmond WRFC Player Support Programme has been developed to support the incremental expenses (primarily travel related) that are incurred by players who live a significant distance from the club. The club will continue to support the programme as long as the generous support of our key sponsors continues. Expenses are paid at the discretion of the Chairperson, the Committee and the coaching staff based on the following criteria:
-
Recipients must live more than 25 miles from the club or incur incremental public transportation costs of greater than £5 for their journey to the club.
-
They have demonstrated commitment during at least half of a season by regularly attending training and making themselves available for games.
-
They must aspire to play for (or currently play for) Richmond Women's 1st XV.
-
There are a maximum of 10 recipients at any one time, the list is reviewed half way through the season.
-
Travel is covered to and from Richmond RFC for games and training, but this does not supercede the mileage policy for those who drive to games when there is no bus provided.
-
Other reasonable expenses will be considered beyond travel expenses if it can be demonstrated they were directly attributable to the distance travelled and are incremental to what other members of the club incurred for the same session/game.
We are pleased to announce that the awards for the 1st term of the 2007/08 season are as follows (in alphabetical order):
