AND
11:6:2:4 No senior player will be eligible to play in a 2nd XI match when his club's 1st XI have no scheduled match, if he has played more than one match more in any division(s) higher than the club's 2nd XI in the previous 45 days, than he has in the same or lower divisions than the club's 2nd XI in the previous 45 days.
11:6:3:4 No senior player will be eligible to play in a 3rd XI match when his club's 1st or 2nd XI have no scheduled match, if he has played more than one match more in any division(s) higher than the club's 3rd XI in the previous 45 days, than he has in the same or lower divisions than the club's 3rd XI in the previous 45 days.
These changes make senior players who have played one game more in higher divisions than the lower team eligible to play in the lower team; this is effectively allowing the game in which the player is playing count towards the 50% limit that formerly applied. This should help those clubs who have players that move back and forth between teams on a regular basis. The thirty-day limit has also been extended to 45 days. This is to make more allowance for absence due to holiday, injury etc, and missed games due to weather or re-arrangement; it should also enable players who may have spent only a brief time in the higher teams to regain their eligibility for the lower team faster than the current rule allows.
