Jon Rickard (pictured bowling) scored his maiden century for Hartlepool
Hartlepool powered home in the 28th over away to Stokesley as Rickard 101* and Craig Symington 48* made light work of the 182 for 5 scored by Stokesley at Broughton Road. It was Jon's first century for Hartlepool in his debut season as professional and he treated the spectators to a demonstration of powerful strokeplay with some huge 6s.

Craig Symington continued his fine form with the bat sharing a big partnership with centurion Jon Rickard
Stokesley batted first and reached 182 for 5 from the 50 overs with James Beaumont unbeaten on 55 for the home side. Hartlepool replied positively with Coverdale 21 and Rickard setting a good rate. When coverdale departed and Marc Symington caught soon after in stepped Craig Symington. In partnership they both took a heavy toll on the bowling with normally consistent Beaumont withdrawn after just 6 overs. A welcome victory for the team with more than 20 overs to spare.
Hartlepool 2nds also played Stokesley at Park Drive but lost for the second week in a row to dent their hopes of promotion from Division 2. The score of 206 all out from 50 overs was below expectations after being 150 for 3 with 11 overs to go. Stokesley battled back and played confidently when they batted to overcome that total in the last over with only 7 wickets down. A few dropped catches and lapses in the field didn't help Hartlepool's cause but Stokesley were worthy winners in an entertaining match.
