After constant pressure, from a tap penalty , the unstoppable Bruce Ramage scored the first try for the Panthers converted by Wooliscroft. The Panthers were then let down by some poor defensive play conceding an un converted try.

The Panthers dominated the rest of the half and after superb interplay by backs and forward, Alford scored in the corner with Morgan converting. Morgan then added a long range penalty before Skegness replied with a penalty. The last 10 min of the half were spent camped in the visitors half with both Collins and Campbell scoring uncoverted tries for the Panthers to lead 25 points to 8 at the interval.

The 2nd half followed the same pattern with the Panthers in charge of the game. The game was lit up with a trademark 70 yard side stepping run from Morgan taking him past 5 would be defenders leading to a Wooliscroft try. The floodgates should then have opened but poor handling and wrong choices left the Panthers missing 7 try scoring opportunities. Eventually, Campbell scored a converted try before Skegness scored a late consolation try.

Though this was a good win, a lot of missed opportunities went begging in the game in which The Panthers were in complete control.
