Carluke Tigers RLFC are rugby league club based in Carluke, Scotland. We are the only RL club in Lanarkshire, and hope to exploit this by attracting potential players and volunteers from the whole district in order to maximise our playing potential. If you are interested in our club in any way, please don't hesitate to contact us to find out more. Details can be found on the Contact Us section of this site.
The summer of 2008 will see us playing our first competative season, in the RLC Scottish Conference, the premier rugby league competition in Scotland. The league season runs from late April until late July, with the Grand Final being played at the beginning of August. This works in well as the season runs completely during the rugby union off season in Scotland, allowing us to recruit many players from union rather than compete with local union clubs for players.
For the 2008 season we will have separate training and playing facilties. On match days we will play our home matches at Bellshill Academy, Main Street, Bellshill, ML4 1AR. Here there is a good pitch, and very good changing facilities. A map to Bellshill Academy can be found here.
For training we shall be located at Moor Park, Belstane Road, Carluke, ML8 4BG. Here there are several grass pitches, rough training areas, and a changing pavillion. A map to Moor Park can be found here. For a brand new club, we are very lucky to have the use of such playing and training areas, as not many of the more established clubs will be able to match such facilities.
