A big weekend for Stapleford as the 1sts take on Butterley Utd at the rec looking for 27 points to close the gap on Shipley. Andy Brear again will be looking to score his usual 100, but support from the rest of the top order consisting of Ian Walker, Mark and Paul Fletcher and Adam Harchuk will need to fire if victory is going to be a possibility. The bowling attack takes a blow with the loss of Mark Cliff plus Nobby Halford still away, but with a side with plenty of bowlers, including the excellent Paul Fletcher, it gives the other guys an opportunity.
The 2nds take on Little Eaton, with newly appointed captain Steve Morley looking to get off to a winning start against a struggling Little Eaton. Richard Swain will be looking to continue his recovery from a knee injury in the 2nds adding to his nice flow of wickets so far this season. Steve Morley himself im sure will be looking prove a point to one or two with a good display with both bat and ball.
