James Sullivan
Right Hand Bat / Right Arm Medium Fast / Wicketkeeper

Nickname: Sully

The term Ďutility maní sounds an unfair description for a naturally gifted all-round player like Sullivan but the roles he has undertaken over the years seems to justify him being tagged with it. His best attribute is his bowling, Sully possesses a smooth run-up and action that some of the younger ones look up to and attempt to copy. He has taken plenty of wickets over his Clay Cross career and some important ones at that and when called upon will always give his best. As well as being a good bowler he is also a tidy wicket keeper, he has been called to don the gloves over the past few seasons more than ever which is testament to the performances he churns out. At the end of the 2005 season he had 12 dismissals under his belt after only a handful of appearances as keeper.
His batting seems to improve by the season and he can either play a destructive role or patiently build an innings. Can open the batting or come in down the order.

Another member of the squad who likes a pint but is one of the few who can take his beer, itís a toss up between Sully and Dale of who could drink the most and still be able to walk. Likes his cricket tea and always one of the first in the queue.
