Absolutely terrible game both teams made far too many careless mistakes, poor decision making and pointless comments from both sidelines. However I think overall,Seaton will be happier with the draw than the Ath.Does anyone know were nearly nine minutes of injury time came from by the way???????

Still good luck for the rest of the season.

ath where robbed, ref was toss and seaton are in a worse state than i thought. it was men against boys seaton lack experienced heads on the pitch and are not up for the fight. how much have ath improved now second best team in the town in this league, push for promotion next season. at this rate it looks seaton are building for the future but will not reap the benefits for at least 3 years...............neutral rugby observer:-)

I thought although it was messy rugby and yes there were lots of mistakes there were some entertaining parts of the game and wasnt a bad game to watch. Yes I thought ath were the better team and deserved to win. The 9 minutes of injury time your right was a joke and not sure at all where the ref was coming from. The cheap shot by the Ath number 2 (altho was a good shot) was bang out of order and he should have been sent. But to be honest if that didnt happen I dont think Seaton would have got a result cos it got them fired right up. I thought the number 4 for Seaton had a good game before coming off and the fullback also had a decent game. But I thought deffinately Seaton's number 8 was there strongest attacking force and probably Seaton's best player. Some great tackling by the ath and they also looked quite dangerous when the ball was in hand. Best players for the ath, i thought was the prop with the beard and I thought the number 12 had a real good game aswell in deffence and attack. Any other views????

You say boys against men fair enough but it wasnt that easy for the men when you think of the game. ath are looking for promotion next season i think seaton have looked to go straight back up every one enjoys a town game but i think presure built to quick for seaton, ath and seaton look to have too many individual plays and not a full 15 that will wor well together

you know and i know seaton wont go up this season especially with the way old boys and team northumbria are playing. seaton are still recovering from relegation and it will take time for them to build a formidable side again cos at this moment in time seaton are not a side to fear. i still hope they do well this season but they where giving it all mouth before the season started and under estimated this league and they have now got egg on their face

peace out!!!!!!!!!!! up the ath!!!!!!!!!

wot a joke! athletic didnt looklike scoring, unless seaton made a mistake! thats were your tries came from! athletic's players avarage the age of 32.. seaton avarage the age of 21! i think athletic are the one's that have the problem!

I TOTALY agree that the ath should have won! my reasons are as follows.

A. It was men against boys until i got knocked out then our boys started to play like men so nice move totsy you might have won if it wasnt for you lol.

B. The ath played with true heart.

C. you cheated around rucks and got away with it so fair play.

But i strongly belive if vince peter and kev where available we would of had much more ball to feed our backs im only saying what i belive to be true.

So yes well done athletic you did deserve the points but i cant wait to play you at home

True Lewy, it did fire your team up.
but if i was you i would still be very dissappointed with your team mates !!!
there was at least 20 minutes letf on the game and not one of your team even tryed to give one back for you, that is not right i should have been pasted by all accounts.
End of the day you where right without Vince, Peter and Kev your team gets bullyed and even at this s*!t level you cannot afford for that to happen, that is what i beleive is the main reason you have not and untill is put right will not go up.

'giving you a pasting' wouldnt have got us the points we needed to grab a draw. We didnt need to start fighting to show that we are a team who stick up for each other, we needed to step our game up and get fired up and that is exactly what we did.

It shouldnt have taken us something like that to get fired up and want to win the match but thats just the way it was.

You are right though we lacked the aggression that was needed on the day and physically we were out played. Im sure the return fixture will be an interesting one and we can only learn from past games and move forwards.

Well doew Lewy see it that way ?
if it was me 1 point would be worthless if my team did nothing for me, the same respect is not there

cant beat a bit of thuggery. it is nice to play knowing your team mates will stick up for you if you do get some chew instead of just putting there heads down, and you cant get banned if the ref didnt see it. lewys head shouldnt have got in the way of totsys elbow anyway haha.........%-)-lewy

I disagree with your comments Jack Sparrow (who ever you are)
Do you even know me !!
I play the game hard and get away with what i can till i am pulled up about it.
At the end of the day we play to win if we didnt we would turn up and play 3rd team rugby some where not in a competitive league.
