Chesterfield 3rds

Looks like 8 North is now a team lighter after Chesterfield 3rds withdrew from the league....probably not a surprise seeing as they have forfieted twice already this season.

Suspect this means only one will go down from the division and also gives the thirds blank weekends on Saturday 5th June and Saturday 21st August.

Does that now make us the biggest club in North Derbyshire by running 3 teams on a Saturday and 3 Junior sides?

Hmmmm??:-|

Always sad when a club has to do this especially when it means some of our players miss 2 weeks of cricket.

Based on level played by 1st team compared to others 1st teams, 2nd team compared to others 2nd teams & 3rd team compared to others 3rd team. A whole lot closer.
Beware snipers from lowly league clubs!!!!!

psst!

if alfreton is amber valley and not considered north derbyshire then neither can chesterfield as it is in its own borough. North east derbyshire doesnt include chesterfield. Does district of bolsover count as north derbyshire? or is that discounted as well. Surely anything north of derby is north derbyshire. anyway im off down south on my hols to ripley i hear its at least 20 degrees warmer than up north.

PS chief if i had a gun there would be alot of names on the list to go before me.;-)
