My boss's son plays for a team called Whitmore in North Staffs league, they are one division below Elworth. Apparently in the North Staffs league you can have substitute pro's if your original is unavailable through not being in the country or injury etc.
Not sure how it works through registrations etc though.

Around here there is only really the DCCL that has it as one overseas and thats it for the season. Bassetlaw allows you to have as many as you want through the season but only one can play. Cutthorpe got through about 3 or 4 the other season before joining the DCCL!!

That said i dont think Ata will count as overseas or pro so dont think that rule comes in. I suspect its a case of they can only afford to pay him or the overseas.

I know nobody has gone off on one yet but just to clarify in case you are tempted.
Ata has had an agreement with us regarding playing or not, which both he & us have stuck to completely. If he gets a contract which pays him he will go with our blessing but if he does not he will play for us. He really wants to play for us but you all know the stance on paying players & this will not change without a mandate from a full members meeting, assuming we could afford it anyway.
On a different note I had to leave before the food order arrived last night. Was the grub any good?

had a message from Millhouses thanking us for our hospitality last Saturday and apologising that for religious and work reasons they couldn't stay for a beer

seems like they enjoyed the game, well done for showing our club in a good light everyone

they have also asked about a game next year, possibly a first XI game and they apparently have 10 lads that would like a go at the bar!!!!!!
