GAMES 17/18 April
Posted by: Chris Plant (IP Logged)

17th April vs Millhouses Works - 1pm start
18th April vs Harthill - 1pm start

both 40 overs a side

looks like Mr Griffiths is sorting a side for Saturday which is a 2nd/3rd XI fixture, the Sunday game is more of a 1st team game and as I haven't been to nets in a while due to work I do not know who is sorting the team out for this

suggest we get as many up to the ground as possible Thursday to discuss teams and whether the council have cut us a pitch

I will get contact details of the opposition to relevant people in case of rain

I am not about this weekend so hope you all have fun and get some good practice in

One important thing is teas, has anything been arranged, obviously good to have teas if someone will kindly provide them but if we are not going to provide teas we need to let the opposition know asap

away sides informed

Sorry about this people. The groundsman has told us that he feels the square needs a bit more time before it is ready. At this stage of the season we must take notice of his advise & so rather than cancel the games we have agreed with him that we will play on the artificial.
Still time to resurect teas if anyone wants to volunteer.

I have to advise of a CCCC Farce. The shirts that you all lovingly looked after last season & which you kindly passed to the Tashman , who carefully labelled them before sending to the printers to add the name of the new sponsors have been thrown away by an employee of the printer!

The Printer will be replacing these shirts but unfortunately you will not have them for this weekend. This could mean that we are playing in skins for the foreseeable future. The good news is that you will have a shiney, brand new shirt at no cost to yourself or the club.

We are assured by Pro4Sport that the shirts will be ready next week!!!!!!!!

Matt
Everyone is having a small as we are going for the crop top look this year as we feel it may have a demoralising effect on the opposition when they see so many 6 packs

Planty.....stand to be corrected but i was under the impression that our astro is designed to take spikes.....thats why we all where them when netting!! Its easier to bat in trainers but for bowling spikes are better.

jon if you got them just put in the plastic studs that come with most boots now

I had some come with them but firstly i would need to find them, then i would need to find a stud spanner and then i would have to find three days to get out some of the studs that will no doubt have welded themselves in and take numerous layers of skin of my knuckles trying to get them undone!!

Alternatively i could just not play and its not an issue for me!! ;-)

Matt Garner has taken the 10th spot, so just need one more. Maybe I'll have to upset Denty and pick Greabo?????

And does anyone have a mobile number for Mark Harland??
