I know not many of the 1st team read this board but plans are afoot to organise a mini bus for the team for this fixture and possibly ones in the future! From what I heard the cost of the bus is to be payed for by the club

only joking Graham/ Greeny ;-)

try Shaws in Cross - decent prices

also remember do not just order a 12 seater as will not be enough luggage space for bags etc - think you'd need at least a 16 seat

also have you canvassed all 1st XI players? do you all want to pay an extra £10 a piece to get there?

My good friend Lord Hartley is getting prices as we speak! Was spoke about last Saturday and was met with a decent response so going to speak to everybody again at nets (if anybody comes) and via telephone!

Discussed last Saturday.....when?!?! First i've heard about it!!

Bearing in mind this bus is going to have to cover people from Brampton, Walton, Grassmoor, Stonebroom, Sutton ;-) and other wonderful places it could get interesting.

Also we need to consider weeks when someone may have to do a runner quickly and not have time to hang around for a while to come home on the bus. Would impact on cost for those using it i would have thought.

if you can co-ordinate enough for a mini bus, surely you can co-ordinate enough to minimalise how many cars you take (4 should be enough each week) and share petrol money?

good idea mind, would be cheaper if you can convince someone to to drive a hired mini bus (but does this require a special license?)

My dad has one of these special licences anyway so not a problem,

greabo you will have to set off at 6 am to get parry from nuneaton. you havent thought this thru fella.

and i can confirm that lemon jnr and branno missed out on the discussion due to supporting the thirds with us seconds. although where the mexicans were that we were waving at i dont know. although it did look like steve walker was wearing a sombrero.

seen that cross bowled elvaston out in the 48th over but have been deducted 4 pts for slow over rate %-)

I was thinking that.....i would have thought that you could only be deducted in a complete innings!!

apparently however many overs left at the cut off time is the amount of points you get deducted

also only 11 overs bowled in one hour - poor really

but in a game like that do you take extra time to get everything right for a win? still more points than a batting 2nd win!

Its certainly something we need to look at. Not just inbetween overs but actually bowling the over as well. We've been close a few times this season already and got away with it.

I suspect in this case had it not been a case of being close to the win then they probably could have finished a bit quicker.
