Clifton were selling cans cos their lager pump was knackered....i suspect its just to keep the bar ticking over til things are repaired.
I'm more than willing to learn how to do things with the pump as well...may be handy for nights we are at home in the midweek league...like this Wednesday!!
In my day you could go round the world for £1.60 & still have change & the beer was 120% proof & you had 16 pints of it & a tripe & onion or finny haddock with thick rabbit gravy supper.
fao mr plant working at norton on friday so i can pick beer up on way back, fao mr branson i dont know if we sold out on sat if not there should be some left for you to sell on weds just pull off half a pint first, fao f mr greaves two words to rearrange for you "arse tight" i will let you work that one out
Record today. Ale installed @ 1.45. Ale sold out @ 7.45. Even without Planty's efforts to drink the whole barrel himself we would still have sold out. Thanks people. Seems we were right to go for proper ale. Compliments from the Denby lads on both the quality & the price.
Greavsie. Do you think we should add 70p to the price of a pint & have you paid for that coffee yet?
i think 1302 could be a more regular purchase,i know i asked grez last night but a poll off which beer out of the 3 we have had is liked the most could help in what we purchase in the future, your response is welcome & also go on then mr plant why is it called 1302?
Beer wise i would go Bud, 1302, Best but to be honest i like all three and wouldnt complain if any on them are on.
Lad has commented on Facebook that its something to do with the birthdate of his two kids, 13th Feb....which means i was on the right lines on Friday when i was trying to get the answer out of Sharon in the Grouse!!
To prove to you that beer can be an insipid tasteless gassy aboration we have specially sourced, as a blast from the past, a keg of Watneys Red Barrel along with a Party Seven to take home.
By the way I'm drinking elsewhere this weekend
