i wud rather av beer to cider.

also, i noticed that a lot of condensation was cuming off the barrel and making the wooden floor/and bar supports very very wet, anybody got any ideas how we can reduce the amount of condensation off the barrel, or we might end up with the bar in our dressing room!!!

The wet floor was due to a spilt drip tray more than condensation from the barrell.

rich is getting some lagging to go round pipes which should sort out most of condensation also if we know we have matches a bigger container can be purchased as we need it (twice the amount 72 pints)

also if we get a 72 pint'er this week on thursday the beer should last until tue/weds but will we sell it? response welcome

Only one game at thye ground sat. Unless we can guarantee that the weather will be ok next Tues Weds & Thurs I think we should leave alone for now. It was so cold for tonights U15 game that we must have sold 50 cups of tea & coffee & not much beer.
I think we should walk before we try & run but maybe try a barrel of Best. I only have one vote though what does everybody else think?

very nice it was too, bit strong mind!

Don't care how strong it is it's still made from distilled yellow snow & is therefore impregnated with frozen Husky wee.

Leffe Blonde is very nice but at 6.7% for the small bottles i cant see many touching it!! Grimbergen is also very nice but just a cheaper version of Leffe Blonde.

Just wonder if its worth making the change....two weeks of sell out from Golden Bud and we opt to change what we are selling. That said i suspect Best will probably sell just as well as i think its the option of the draught beer that is doing the business and as long as its decent it will sell. Just keep away from the Impey Dark!! ;-)

What did people think about the change in ale? Should we get the same again albeit that we have to charge 20p extra a pint. Still great value at £2.20

Clifton sell cans of Lager for £1 a go at their place!! Now thats great value!! Any chance of a price reduction at the cross chief?

there would be almost no profit on selling Lager for £1

Ambergate also sold bottles for a quid (well you bought a raffle ticket for a quid and every ticket 'won' a bottle of lager)

I'd suggest that both Clifton and Ambergate have more money than us that allows them to offer these prices

At Cross the bar is a major money maker and I think the balance is just about right offering beer cheaper than in a pub and still making profit to swell the club coffers and improve the club in the long run

and on the Best - yes it was enjoyed and is a very nice pint, I think both Golden Bud and Best will always be well received, and would lean towards the Bud as it is easier to drink and cheaper. Could always try Wasps Nest, but would have to charge £2.50 a pint for that at a guess (it's pretty strong)

Matt has kindly trained me in the art of line cleaning and tapping a keg, but we could do with others learning this fine craft!

And FAO Matt, we have a midweek game on Thursday so I'm gonna struggle to pick the beer up this week

Will do a deal. I reckon knocking 60p off the price of a can will lose us about £500 in profit. If someone raises more than £500 profit in sponsorship or fund raising starting from today I will knock the price down on cans of lager (correct spelling) by 10p a can for every £100 raised above £500 to a maximum of 40p.
