have to say that last night was one of the best in the 7 years at the club. so much so that i was going at 730 but couldnt get out from behind the bar until 830!

thanks to riddings if anyone reads this as i think their entire team stopp ed for a drink. we also had cuthorpe and cromford and it fair to say it was quite rammed and at one point matt and i was a little worried we would run out. cant beat good ale expertly pulled ;-)

really good to see the firsts and thirds coming back and i think this is something we need to try to carry on throughout the season. obviously have a drink with the oppo but better to put the beer money thru our till than some lego pub on the way back. also a good way to catch up with everyone.

Have to agree with Clarissa Fat Lady Bravo that it was great to see the place full with players from all 3 teams & Cutthorpe & Cromford lads as well. Thanks to everyone for the effort that was put in both on & off the field.

Agree completely and i certainly intend to try and push the plan that the firsts have a beer at the oppos bar after away games and then head back to ours where possible. Might need a few people to keep the place open for some of our longer trips though!!

Also judging by last night we might need some more pint glasses...wasnt sure what would run out first.....the ale or the pint glasses!! I have some Bombardier glasses going spare if we need them.

Finally.....ahead of us and the thirds being at home next week has anyone in the firsts been trained in the art of pulling a pint?!

dont think so but pull slow & steady seems best at moment & also if bob is with the 3rds i think he has been shown also i am sure i heard someone say suni can pull a pint?

Yep, i forgot that Sunni has pint pulling experience plus i seem to remember Bil ending up behind the bar at some point and knowing what he was doing.

I agree it was a great night for the club and congrats to all those involved in the project (especially Mr Garner). I cant believe how empty the beer fridge was too towards the end of the night!

Not wanting to sound negative but I hope people don't start expecting bumper nights like this every Saturday. The Riddings lot are notoriously big drinkers and it helped having the 2nd ground in use by teams who stayed for a drink too! I just hope there is no moaning if the bar is sparsely populated for a coulple of weeks running during the summer.
(Hopefully I am wrong as ususal and the bar is heaving from now till sept!)

Fair comment Dave. What beers had we run out of ,or close to, so I can restock.

Loads of the Larger had gone, in fact quite a bit of the fridge was bare! Might be worth having a look on Thurs or summat before nipping off to Parfetts Cash & Carry!!

I'll be picking up another barrell from the brewery on Thursday, if we can shift a barrell a week then job is a good one!

Echo the comments about teams coming back, great to see the 1sts and 3rds come back after away games and I will be encouraging the 2nds to do the same next weekend

Saturday also proved the attraction of proper draught bitter as several of the Riddings lads stayed cos they could get a proper pint

Chief - we are definately out of Efes which is a good seller, could probably get as much Stella and Strongbow as we can fit in the fridge as it will always sell! Also out of Orange Lucozade.

Who drank all the beer?

After 2 "sell outs" do we need a rethink. Matt what are the options is it double up or is there an alternative that gives 1 & half times more?
There is a junior game Tues + training Thurs where we will have no draught beer. Next week we have games tues & weds + training.

we discussed cider on saturday.

this will last forever and sits in a container on the bar on tap.

Not a bad idea but don't think many of the beer drinkers are likely to switch to cider when the beer's all gone.
