Steve....

I suspect with plenty of notice for the date so people can sort themselves out and we organise it properly, not just on here, we should be able to drag a team out.

The pitch next to the pavilion is used by Nags Head from the Cross on Sunday mornings....not sure about anyone else.

Can i suggest Greabo has a word with him on Sunday morning seeing as Sir Jim has signed for the mighty AFC Grouse now.

Yeah will do Ste, if we are looking to play it on the cross at the back of the ground it might be worth your old man having a word with the council to get the all clear!!

Off out for the day so cant make it. Was quite looking forward to being back at centre half...less running!!

No need to get clearance to play on it Dave....just roll up and play on it, wont be a problem. We didnt bother getting clearance from the council for playing on the park Sunday morning!! Only thing we need to check is that it doesnt clash with any other games. Can do that by not playing on a Sunday morning which probably wouldnt be best anyhow as some of us will be playing anyway.

Had the "pleasure" of watching first half of a Sunday league game which featured 3 of our players Kipper "the Moggy", Jim "the upper class chinless midfield wuss" Carley & Dave "Bambi " Greaves. Could I suggest that all 3 are restricted to bar duties & only in an emergency do they even make the bench. Mind you the Ashover & Clowne contingent are even worse. Is Daz Parkin the worst footballer ever?

Chief ... standards have slipped so far these days. You only have to look at the national side.

Yeh sweeper & he was definitely brushless as well as clueless stood & had a nice chat with his fellow "central defender" marking one man in the centre circle for a corner. Corner gets cleared said one man goes short for ball neither Daz nor mate bother to follow him allowing said forward to gather ball turn eat breakfast & pass to mass ranks of opposition who are chasing out of their area leaving Bambi, his lordship & the confused mass ranks who had gone up for said corner in their wake.
2 passes later, Parkin still in centre circle, & the Moggy dives but double decker bus goes under his body & into the net.
You right Steptoe in my day said forward would have been mugged in the centre circle, especially if there were 2 of us, rather than have a cosey chat. His dislocated ankle bloody nose & scarred testicles would not have allowed him to amble back for the ball.
