Just visited their website & they describe us as "rough & ready". When have we ever been ready for anything? Please register on their website & insult them back.

hi jacko

all systems go. We now have bitter from a local brewery on tap.

40 overs is fine. if you want to play a longer game we can do that but would need to amend start time etc.

we usually only play declarations when playing aussie touring sides to give them a chance.

are you sure you dont want to play 20/20 :oD. tell ricky that leicester is lovely this time of year.

best leave yourself an hour to get from west bridgford to the cross.

see you soon

Message for Jacko,

I'm struggling to post a message on your website forum! I'm registered and activated but it won't let me post! Any clues how to get round this?

If you see Pete Henriksen, tell him it was me who gave him the cap back in 2005. Is he touring again this time round?

Dave Greaves

Jacko
Dependent on work & sorting out a suitable "appontment" I will try another spying mission as it seemed to work last time. The boat race should be good as our 2 weak links from last time have been moved out of the club & sent to a posher set up elsewhere to be replaced by Planty & Dave Clarke who are more of the "beer monster types" than 7 stone Pimms drinking softies.

Jacko,

Pete doesn't owe me anything so no worries. Bit of a shame he can't make it this year.

That answers my question regarding posting on your website, the 2 machines ive tried it off both run internet explorer.

C'mon Dave...sounds to me like we owe you a cap....do you want a baggy or the baseball style??..all you have to do is 'slow down' in the boat race:-D

Greabo's chances of being in the boat race crew this year are slim. There are others who have put in many more hours practice than him (Which is why he is also slim & they aren't)

that and the fact he will be slowed down by moaning like an old woman that he has to pay more than 25p for his drink to enter.

ps jacko i gave bruce a 100% lambswool saville row suit the last time you were here. has he asked you to bring anything in return? Elle MacPherson or Natalie Imbruglia were mentioned at the time.

Ok we have a game we have a tea lady we have an umpire & we even have a team. Now we need some helpers to run the bar & the BBQ. Not looking for a complete bar steward but a number o of people who can be a bit of a bar steward & do an hour here & there as it unfair to expect one person to be a total bar steward & do the job for the whole day.
Suspect we will need approx 3 volunteers to run a BBQ as well. I will put a couple of sheets on the notice board in the pavilion on Thurs but please feel free to put your names forward on here first. Don't be shy.

Talking to Planty the other day and he mentioned that as he would be playing the previous day for The Follow On against CPCC then he would be happy to be a bar steward at our game. I also dont mind doing the later shift on the BBQ after playing, if selected!! If not selected i'll do an earlier shift and do a bit of bar work although i would like to play if possible!!

The game draws nearer & arrangements are being finalised which will involve 4 different types of real ale & a BBQ. We have also ordered some good weather.
What we are still short of however is help with the bar. There has been a sheet on the board requesting volunteers for over a week now & we still only have 2 names on it. We will be running a bar on the pavilion balcony as well as the usual one so we really do need some help. This is an important event for the club. Also volunteers to be BBQ chef would be appreciated.
Tell everybody about the day & try & get as many people up there as you can. The Collaroy Plateau guys have come a long way for this & if the day can be half as good as the last one it will be a great success.
