sorry Kip, as a young whippersnapper you need to be somewhere you can run around, not in the slips

yeh but if i have a sunday like i did this week then i doubt i'll be able to walk let alone run.

plus i've dropped 1 in 5 years and that was that fly type spek in the sky in the mid week on thursday

j)Find a night of the week apart from Mon Tues Weds Thurs or Fri. ( We've tried them all & non of them suits )

Monday "too soon after weekend"
Tuesday " I play midweek"
Wednesday see Tuesday
Thursday "I always go out on a Thursday"
Friday "thats a bad night"
February 29th "can't make training that often"

Please find another day of the week & we'll do something. Think you will find that the general training apathy will continue however. Amazing that so many came in the winter & so few in the summer.

I think Tuesday is the best day

not many midweek games on Tuesdays

and it's not as if we don't need the practice!

but Friday's is just wrong, I'm sorry but all I want to do on a Friday evening is get out of work as quick as possible and get into a pub, Friday evening is your reward for a weeks toil at work - don't want to spend it running around!

Fine Planty. If you can arrange it there is no problem in setting something up & you can have the keys etc. You will be on the new ground every other week though as the u15s play on Tuesdays.

dont want to be pedantic planty but the ball does hurt as it is very hard. the difference is that it hurts whether you drop or catch it. it seems to hurt less when you catch it.

as greabo says not bragging but am probrably one of the better fielders at the club. if its ok with ste i will do fielding drills before match. watch this space.

more worrying for me is the sound of silence evident in the field. bowling can be very lonely%-)

Thats because when you are bowling there is'nt much to cheer about & the comment "Cmon Bravo lets reply" after the ball dissapears for another 4 or 6 gets a bit tedious . The only loud sound is the cry of joy when the capt says "thanks Bravo take a rest" or if you announce you are on holiday for the next 2 weeks & can't play.
Top offer on the fielding though.

Let me tell ya he were quick all t lads thought so, used to bowl his 23 overs off full runup in t wind and wiout a drink.

and it were norm to play in snow.

cunna do that now what we ya pyjamas and white ball (puffs) bit a rain kept pitch honest if ya were to ask me.

Anyhow as i were sayin chief he were quick so til thas got a few thousand more wickets thayd do reght to listen to his expertise in stead o tekin rip al time :_):_)

I agree with all that Simmo says apart from one issue. The next person that calls me a Yorkshireman gets their spleen ripped out by my minder Kipper & his psyco brother Mackerel.
As far as I know there are only 2 Yorkshireman in the club one is Matt Garner & the other is (you guess cos if I tell you he will go into a major strop & will probably leave the club)
