New Scoreboard

The bricks are now ready & they will be delivered on Thurs 31 August at about 5.00. We desperately need as many people as possible to help carry the bricks up to the pavilion balcony which will be a pain in the bottom.
Please try to attend as the more we get there the less time it will take. Some of you can even practice afterwards.

Thanks Jon.
Just a reminder that we have over 100 bricks to move from the car park to the pavilion balcony. If only 4 or 5 people turn up it wont get done,we will leave the bricks to the locals & the scorebox will not get built. If you can only get there for an hour this will help enormously.

Have we got access to a couple of wheelbarrows to aid shifting them from the carpark to the bottom of the pavilion?

I'm sure we can get a couple of wheelbarrows between a few of us without forking out for them. Plus we dont just need wheelbarrows, any sort of carrying thing will help if it means you can carry more than two bricks!!

So were going to get handfulls of bricks (if we have no wheelbarrows) and march backward and forward from car park to pavilion!! Just remembered ive got to wash my hair tonight sorry!!

The reason we now need barrows is that the original plan was to bring the bricks through the back way to the front of the pavilion & we did'nt need barrows. The trailer has now broken & we are therefore delivering using a 7.5 ton tipper truck that I have borrowed. We cant run that across the field, especially in this weather, so at short notice we need to bring to car park.

why not try and get hold of a pallet, place around 20-30 bricks on it at a time, and 4 people carry the pallet. just a thought???

Off the top of my head i think there is a barrow under the pavilion but may be wrong . There is also something else with wheels under there that might be able to be used with a but of farting about.

Does the tractor mower still run and can we use that in anyway?

We might not be able to get a 7.5 ton truck on the grass but a car or small van will be ok coming through the gap at the side of the welfare and then carrying them up in a couple of trips.

Not really a helpful attitude David!! If we cant get a couple of wheelbarrows between us, which i'm sure even we can manage to, then we need more hands to do it not people crying off!!

Just think for an hours carrying bricks we wont have to drag the scoreboard about and change numbers for lots and lots of seasons!!

Not crying off but just doesnt sound very appetising humping bricks around in the rain!

Stop moaning. Some people do it every day just to earn a crust.

Presumably Greabo has already carried his 100 bricks to the top of the pavilion steps as I can't see him on the photo
