Start Time on Saturday
Posted by: jonb (IP Logged)

Are any of us considering asking our respective opponents to bring the start forward on Saturday to allow us to watch the England game? Suspect there may be problems with players being available if not!!

From what i've seen on The Follow On a lot of clubs have already arranged to start at 10/10:30am to allow a finish for the 4pm kick off.

From what i can work out 1sts need to speak to Denby and 2nds are at home to Ambergate.

Would deffo start early if it is a possibility but only person who might struggle to get there is parry who might have to set off at first light!!!

Its commen sense really to start earlier. The only problem though is extra time and penalties. Field first!!

Spoke to Rich who is going to speak to Denby about an early start. Lot of games already been arranged for 10:30am starts and get the games done prior to the footy.

There you are. You can act like big boys & sort it out yourselves. Just need someone from 2nd team to talk to Notty now.

Take extra time out of the problem by getting the whole cricket match done in time for the kick off at 4pm.

10:30 start and two innings with a quick switch round, shouldnt be a problem unless Saltergate\Wingerworth are bowling both innings!!

Not 100% sure, just heard last night that the game had been brought forward based mainly on the fact that it will be a nightmare around the Welfare win or lose at the end of the footy!!

Does anyone actually know!?!?

Just been talking to the first team supremo and it appears that talks are at an advanced stage to allow the firsts to arrive at Denby for 10:30am for an 11am start!!

Just want to test for who reads this site so will say. Thats good. If its over quick then we can play the first team in the 2nds in the afternoon & play them all under a false name.
