How is it looking up there for the weekend?

Bob phoned me on Monday saying a second lake had formed but it has been dry for the odd 10 mins here or there so was wondering how it was looking!!

Haven't dared to go up to the ground yet but will be there tomorrow for the swimming practice.
One piece of info though. We have just received conformation from NEDDC that after having made a hole in the home dressing room ceiling in Feb, to enable their Surveyor to check out if the veranda can take the weight of the dressing room, that they are to commence work on repairing it on 4 July only 5 months after they damaged it!!!!

One thing at a time.Apparently the council are waiting until time is decimalised & we have made disabled access to the upstairs area. Perhaps Elsie could lend us his Stenna Stairlift for match days.
Seriously though the final notice was in the Sheep Molestors Times last Thurs & we are just awaiting final planning permission at which time you can put your hod carriers head on.

Have we included in the plans electrical sockets and broadband internet connection to allow us to have real time scorecards on the internet....sure that would be a DCCL first!?!?

The six of us who turned up practised OK & the ground was OK but unfortunately the lake is even bigger than last week. Will need to bring the boundary in.

With the way the weather has been over the last two weeks i dont think this was a surprise to be honest.

I would appreciate it if people used this message board for more constructive methods. I am not a regular user of this site but evey time i browse the message board people are having digs at each other. At the end of the day the club has developed dramatically over the last few years and instead of moaning about people we should bask in the success the club is having.

I think the problem is that over the last few weeks the vast majority of people at the club havent seen each other. We've hardly played and with the way the weather has been very few will have thought that the ground was in any state for practice.

Unfortunately speaking to Mitch from Sth Wingfield i think the firsts will be struggling again this weekend so probably another cricket free weekend!!

Like I said yesterday its been hard to get into it this year what ith the weather, getting used to doin nowt at weekends and branno is right nobody has really seen much of eachother. Off the top of my head ive played in 2 completed games out of 10 all season, including midweek games (sorry Bravo)!

Im sure things will get sorted when/ if the weather picks up. I think people missed nets yesterday because of state of ground on saturday + rain this week!

So when its dry no one comes cos they play midweek. When its been raining nobody turns up in case thy get their designer training kit muddy. Please let me know what weather conditions are acceptable so we can arrange practice accordingly.
Rant over. Good luck to everyone over the weekend . I feel some wins coming on (If we play) Even Clarkey had eleven last night.
