Ready to Rumble There have been more than 40 players out at senior training sessions this summer and now it's time to get down to some serious contact  ..

,The Firsts will waste no time in shaking off the cobwebs with a trip to Northern next week. Our hosts, of course, just lost out to ourselves in the promotion hunt but have been extremely gracious about it all and wasted no time in inviting us to start their own season.

Kick off will be at 2.00 with the game split into four quarters to allow the maximum number of players a run-out.

That game will be followed by the visit of Consett on the 24th. Another challenge in store as we have taken their place in North One East and they will want to prove a point. Kick off could also be early as England take on Wales in Cardiff at 3.00. Watch this space.

We finish pre-season with a Durham Intermediate Cup tie at Westoe on August 31st with the game likely to be on the all weather pitch at Harton College with a 3.00 kick off.

The Stags are also gearing up to build on their success last year. They will be in Pyman Cup action next Saturday when we host the new style league tournament which is 15 a side playing ten minutes each way - 2pt for a win 1pt for draw

This is the draw: .

1.30 - Hartlepool v BBOB

1.55 - West v Seaton Carew

2.20 West v Hartlepool

2.45 Seaton Carew v BBOB

3.10 West v BBOB

3.25 Harrtlepool v Seaton Carew

3.50 3rd v 4th for Shield

4.15 Final - 1st v 2nd fopr Pyman Trophy and Flag
