MEMBERS INFORMATION 14th NOV 2014

Just a quick note to remind members of a few items.

First the greens have been vertidrained this week as part of the winter programme as I mentioned in a recent email so they will be a little bobbly for the next week or so.

Also Fairway Protection will start on Monday. For those members unsure of what this means from the middle of November usually until about mid March we ask players, if their ball finishes on the fairway within the marked areas on the fairways, to pick up and play their approach shots to the greens from the semi rough rather than from the fairway to minimise the damage caused by divots. Players can place the ball in the semi rough or use a tee on either side of the fairway or alternatively they have the option of playing the ball from the fairway using small mats which are available in the shop at a cost of £4 each.I have attached to this email the notice that will be posted around the Club explaining the various options that are available when your ball lands within the marked areas on the fairways.

Spaces are still available for the Children’s Christmas Party which will take place on Sunday 7th December between 15.30 and 17.30. Children from ages 2 – 10 are eligible to attend and tickets priced at £10 each are available behind the bar.

Kind Regards
