Castleford Tour 24th August 2008
Carluke Tigers RLFC will travel down to Castleford on Sunday the 24th of August, to begin what we hope will be a productive partnership between ourselves and Super League side Castleford Tigers. The day will consist of a friendly match against BARLA National Conference League side Castleford Panthers ARLFC, followed by watching the Super League crunch between Castleford Tigers and Warrington Wolves.
This should be a great day out for all the players and supporters of the club who are making the trip, with the players gaining the experience of playing against a seasoned amateur rugby league side and also getting the opportunity to watch a live top flight game of rugby league up close. The bus trip home should also be very good for team moral, and will be a cracking end to a great debut season where the Tigers finished second in the league and won the SRL Shield competition!
Although still to be confirmed, the general tour itinerary is as follows;
12:00 Meet at Motherwell Civic Center
12:15 Depart for Castleford
16:15 Arrive in Castleford
16:45 Castleford Panthers v Carluke Tigers Kick Off
19:30 Castleford Tigers v Warrington Wolves Kick Off
21:00 Depart for Motherwell
If you have not already booked your seat on the bus do so ASAP, as we have to book match tickets etc... total cost of the day will be a mere £25! If you want to go call Morgan or Bobby ASAP, or email thetigers@live.co.uk
