Change of Training Times
As of today, Tuesday the 24th of June 2008, Carluke Tigers RLFC will now train on a Wednesday night, 7:00 PM at Moor Park, Belstane Road, Carluke. Previous training arrangements on Tuesday and Thursday evenings is now cancelled.
The decision to move from training two nights a week down to one night a week was not taken lightly, but if was felt that this was the best move for everyone and the club as a whole. Training one night a week will take alot of preassure off players who have a considerable distance to travel to attend training, and as such will get everyone training on the one night allowing more quality tactical work to be done.
The decision to make the selected one night a Wednesday was also to ensure maximum participation, as this will not clash with any of the local rugby union club's pre-season arrangements. Thus further taking preassure away from players who would otherwise be forced to choose between league and union training.
