Goalkeeper
Dale

Hulland

An excellent shot stopper who has established himself as the club's number 1. He rejoined the club in September from Garden Village where he spent a season mainly in the reserve team. In his second spell at the club, prior to this he played in the Swansea League with Kilvey Athletic and has previous Welsh League experience with Goytre United. An excellent signing for the club.

Defenders

John

Williams

John joined the club last season and played a number of games in the Reserves. Can operate in midfield or in Defence and is an excellent trainer. Has been rewarded for his hard work this season with a call up to the first team squad and has performed admirably when called upon.

Leighton

Connor

A vastly experience defender who has been on the Welsh League circuit for a number of years. Strong and commanding in the air and is an excellent leader at the heart of the defence. He has formed a good partnership with Sean Davies over the last couple of games.

Kevin

Melville

Melly is the 3rd player this season to join from local Swansea League side CRC Rangers and has teamed up with former CRC Manager - Steve Brown who is first team assistant manager at the club. A strong and commanding defender who can operate in the centre of defence or right sided full back. A good trainer who is extremely enthusiastic and is keen to prove that he has what it takes to be a success at this level.

Sean

Davies

Central defender. Morriston player through and through. Came through the Junior section of the club and has now demonstrated what a good player he is by gaining first team recognition which has been long overdue. Sean can also operate in central midfield.

Mark

Webber

Another player who came through the club's youth ranks and has been involved at the Welsh League standard for the past 3 or 4 years. Left the club a couple of seasons ago to play for local Swansea League side Morriston Olympic. Returned to the club this season after Paul Lewis returned to the club and has since established himself as the first choice left back. A player with great pace and an excellent first touch who can also operate in midfield.

Paul

Batcup

Paul is playing his first season in the Welsh League having joined the club from Swansea League side Treboeth. Paul can play in central defence but can also operate in the central midfield. Solid & mature defender who will be a good acquisition for the club.

Neil

Simon

Neil is a vastly experienced player who is in his third spell with the club. An ex Swansea City apprentice who has also played in the League of Wales with Haverfordwest County. A cultured player who can comfortably operate in defence or midfield and is well respected throughout the Welsh League. Has recently rejoined the club after a brief spell with Pontardawe Town and is keen to help the club avoid relegation from the second division. A local lad and ex club captain.

Midfielders

Derek

Jenkins

Derek joined the club back in September from local rivals Garden Village as the same time as his brother Jack and first team manager Paul Lewis. Derek is an accomplished midfield player operating either in the centre or on the right hand side. Has not played much since September due to an operation, but he returned to full training in 2007 and is a welcome addition in the fight against relegation. Scored the winner against Caerau Ely in October.

Jonathan

Coates

Ex Swansea City player who has also represented Wales at various levels. Vastly experienced and is an excellent example to our youngsters. Very fit with great ball control in tight situations. Can operate in central or left hand side of midfield but can also play up front. Jonathan’s experience and presence is often demonstrated on the training pitch where he also helps out with the coaching. Currently on a dual registration with Haverfordwest County.

Paul

Sweeney

Second season in the Welsh League. Excellent ball control at speed. Reached double figures in the goal charts last season and capable of many more this season. Unfortunately Paul has missed most of this season through injury but returned to full fitness at the start of December. Paul has great pace and frightens defenders when in possession.

Andrew

Shaw

New addition to the squad this season. He joined from Neath. A bright prospect, has great pace and is strong in the tackle. Andrew prefers to play in midfield but can also play at right back. Known to his mates as “Shawsy”. Away from football he has a passion for WESTLIFE.

Garry

Taylor

Another new addition to the squad this season who also made the short move from Neath Athletic. Garry is an accomplished midfield player who is strong in the tackle and has great vision with a range of passing. Came through the youth ranks at Neath where he captained their successful youth team. Away from football Garry has a passion for WESTLIFE (like Shawsy)

Marc

Baker

Marc is one of our most experienced players and has been at the club for a number of years. Marc is  naturally fit and works hard in training. Accomplished player with good control and excellent delivery into the box. Can also operate up front which he has done on a number of occasions already this season. Scored in the West Wales Senior Cup Tie at Hakin Utd.

David

Cann

 

Dai joined the club from Swansea League side CRC Rangers and has teamed up with former CRC Manager - Steve Brown who is first team assistant manager at the club. Dai is a tough tackling midfielder who prefers to operate in the centre. Is also renowned for scoring goals - some spectacular efforts too!!! Dai is a great signing for the club and he has been getting attention recently from other Welsh League clubs in the area.

Karl

Barfoot

Karl is a young midfielder who has come through the clubs youth set up. Is a great player for the future and has already featured in the first team this season with some combatitive performances in centre of midfield. Already established himself in the club's reserve team and will be looking to cement a place in the first team squad in the near future. A great prospect!

Peter

Osborne

Peter has recently returned to the club after a short spell at second division rivals Garw Athletic. Peter is an accomplished midfield player who gained Boys Club of Wales caps as a junior. His enthusiasm and pinpoint passing will be a welcome addition to the squad. Peter has also previously played for Port Talbot where his hard work and ability was recognised with him being involved with the first team in the Welsh Premiership. Currently commuting from Cardiff to play for the club.

Forwards

Paul

Edwards

Paul is an experienced centre forward who has been involved at Welsh League level for the past 4 years. Paul is strong, good in the air and holds the ball up well. A proven goalscorer at Swansea League & Reserve Division standard in previous seasons and has notched 2 goals for the first team this season.

Robert

Hidle

Robert joined the club from Swansea League side CRC Rangers and has teamed up with former CRC Manager - Steve Brown who is first team assistant manager at the club. This is his first season at Welsh League level and if he can continue in the same goalscoring form he produced during his time in the Swansea League, he will be an excellent signing for the club. Great prospect!

Ian

Williams

Ian joined the club from Carmarthenshire League outfit Pontlliw. Ian is an old fashioned centre forward whose powerful running can cause problems for defences. Previously played football in the army and when he is fully fit will hopefully make a big contribution in the goalscoring stakes.
