Wellington 2’s 70 Wells 2’s 3
After an encouraging display against local rivals Tor and a long awaited second victory of the season against Morgainians the week after wells second team travelled to Wellington with hopes high after a narrow loss to the same side earlier in the season, it was clear however early on that there was only ever going to be only be one winner.
In a display that saw few notable performances Joe Lumsdown excelled in the back row and terrorised the Wellington players consistently, his reputation growing with every performance. It is yet to be discovered however whether or not his drinking abilities will match up to his playing ones, no doubt time will tell.
It will be a game that wells will no doubt wish to forget about and move on from quickly, inspirational drinking from new skipper Mattie Wilkins and sidekick Bill Hegarghty attempted to eradicate this however. So as the new members of the wells team came and went swiftly these being two bottles of port, talk of Wells loss moved onto England's much to the delight of 80 minute Welshman Poderick Boyle!
So as the now rejuvenated hoards of Wells 2nd team fans and players drank themselves to Kudos thoughts turned in two directions some to the picturesque city of Rome and others to Weston Super Mare for a league clash against highfliers Weston Hornets.
